Riding 3 Up on a Busa

Yeah not a good idea with a small child... Sorry i know your probably looking for justification of your idea but its just not safe.

As a young kid in the Philippines, my dad would sometimes load his 125cc UJM with 5 passengers: youngest kid on gas tank, dad, 2nd kid sandwiched behind him and my mom, then me on the luggage rack behind my mom.

Due to hardship, other people in poor countries are forced to do this. What were your reasons again?

While I wouldn't do it, a better option might be one of those 3-wheeler bikes with the two wheels up front... Much more stable and survivable than a straight-out motorcycle.

My lil girl turned 5 2 days ago and we been tellin her she could go around the block when she hit 5, think it was the best present of all, stuck her between me and the tank and off we went, BUT, we live in a very rural neighborhood with very very little traffic and that is as far as she will get to go with me for the next 5 years. even as the situation with me stands it still makes me nervous with her on the street even at a butt haulin 10mph:thumbsup: save your self and your wife the possibillity of a hell of alot of grief and load em up in the car for the getaway.

Original poster here. You guys are probably right- bad idea. I am not interested in a sidecar and would never consider putting one on a busa. And I have no desire to ride on a canam. I will just wait untill he is old enough and or large enough to hang on to me sitting on the back seat with his feet on the stock pegs. I may still get a busa for the wife and i for the longer day trips and just get away when we find a babysitter. The hayabusa sure was fun to ride and the smooth power and tourqe was great. My ass and hands never went numb. Thanks.

I have been looking at a 07 with 13,500 miles on it. No sevice records. What services are coming up and are there any componets that fail around that mileage. Also what kind of mpg can I expect from a stock busa?

Jokes aside, put your partner back on her Blast and carry your kid with you using a device like this. As far as long rides go, probably not a great idea... ???

Any where from 40-50 mpg highway, on stock Busa, and easy on the throttle 60-70 mph.
