Shaving Some Weight Off the 08

I put these Dymag FORGED magnesium wheels on mine and they made a huge difference. I think it was about 12 lbs for the wheels. These are the second lightest wheel in Dymags catalog for the busa. The carbons are the lightest but way more money

Bar ends, exhaust, extra metal in the rear section, we are removing all that. Thinking about the wing as well. The tuner will switch out metal for light weight aluminum where he can.

The rims weight is with no rotors, no cush drive etc. Have been told there is no warranty because they are for RACE only but still waiting for a call back. I would chrome my current rims but that adds more weight so that is out, however I want a high polish rim.

Here is where I am looking:

CARROZZERIA FORGED WHEELS VSTAR V6 Hi POINT STAGE ONE TWO HIPOINT V7R ZRX SUPER WIDE 240 KIT MARCHESINI DYNMAG PM PVM GALESPEED RIMS TRi TRIR TRI-R

Carbon is much tougher than forged Al or Mg, so for next year I will get me a rear (only) CF wheel from Brock. Unfortunatly my 2009 budget is already spent...

BST's are great had them on three of my bikes. I also offer the best price possible on them as well and will match any price other than fleabay. The Carrozzeria wheels have come a long way and for the money they are very tough to beat. I am using a set on a project I am working on now with true ceramic bearings not the hybrid/metal bearings we call ceramic now.

We also have great prices on these wheels and will price match. I have also had Marchesini's & Galespeeds on my personal bikes. All are excellent wheels used them all. Its just a matter of budget and style. :beerchug:

That is for both wheels, suggested retail but I know already you can get them for around $ 1300-1400.00 from another dealer. I know they are not the lightest but I want rims that are polished. Chroming is nice but adds weight to the rims, so polished is the way for me to go. Plus I don't want to spend 3K on motorcycle rims because I need new rims for my other toy :)

Nice GT500! I've had several COBRA's just haven't been that interested in the new body style. Maybe for the 2010 changes... :beerchug:

What he said! How much for the package deal....Front and rear rim, bearing, spacers, and rear spocket? Plug in play is better then oh I need this...and now I need that....and what am I missing!:rulez:

The rim that I posted will not be available for the haybusa, here is the rim that they sell for our bikes. The retail of $ 1700.00 is for everything cush drive, bearings, and rear sprocket. I am going to pull the trigger if all goes well sometime in Feb. Before I do I will post a thread to see if anyone is interested and we can see if we get a better deal as a group.

So your going by the 330' marker with the front tire 12" in the air. Bike is WAY to high, but your trying to ride this wheelie out because your still in the lead, and just then a huge cross breeze starts to blow you into the Armco. As you chop the throttle and slam the front end back down, you remember that your wheel wasn't really designed for that. Hmmm.???
