So after getting a feel for the Gen 3..

Getting back to OP. I wouldnt hesitate to add a riser. Suggesting accomodating is fine especially if youre 6 feet tall or longer arms. but one size does not fit all and the suzuki is a long reach for 5’8” and shorter. I rode bycycle a lot and can do 3 hours cycling and am in good shape - but its a lot more dynamic activity with position changes constantly. On the motorcycle I dont try to talk myself into saying I am comfortable. Imagine a car with non adjustable seat and steering wheels?? .

This^
The Busa has a longer gas tank and longer reach to the bars than a Gsxr or any liter bike.

I was going to add an engine kit but couldn’t do it. Also have this old dinosaur

This is one of my previous ones, a bit of a money pit but went OK back in the day.

A couple of guys here have “All Suzuki GSX1370’s”.
Busa pistons in oil cooled lines in 1135 barrels.

1100, or the 1000SZ? I had the liter one, and I miss that bike a lot. That feeling that your bike is probably faster is a good one, but knowing that you are on the coolest looking machine is genuinely priceless. There was nothing like it. I loved how, when you were cruising on the freeway, I think at half red line and half Max Speedo, the tach and speedometer where exactly 90° to each other. Some engineer tweaked that, and I loved it. I knew the upside down forks would be flipped in the future, they just looked and felt wrong. And I don't think the anti-dive was ever that effective. But leaning forward into those clip-ons really made you feel like you were in a Speed Racer episode...

That one is the 1000 but I do have an 1100 aswell which is in the middle of being restored for the last two years but living on a farm drags out resto projects now.

Yeah the long stretch to the bars over the tank makes it feel like you’re laying almost down riding it. Purely priceless riding these and parking them amongst the modern era.

I like how Australian and New Zealand models came with spoked rims....even the Katana....

We only got mags here....
