So I stripped it (help)

Yes, 12 point and I have already been chewed out about it :)

Dang, too late... I was gonna give you a blast of grief if you had used a 12-point...

Glad you got it off without further damage..... is your next new tool going to be a 6-point 14mm socket?

:beerchug:

stupid question, but should we use antisieze on those when putting them back on?

Holy thread resurrection. I saw this and thought what in the world is he doing screwing around with his sprocket two weeks out from Barber when he's had all winter!!!

I saw the date and went ah....

Yesterday was just not my day. First I messed up that nut, then I tore he carpet up running some wires for the TV, then I managed to tear the heck out of the wall...that I am now going to have to repair...I should have just crawled back under my rock...

Question. The OEM 43 tooth sprocket fit precisely on the hub, but the JT Sprocket 44 tooth has a tiny bit of 'play' and does not fit as tight...is that going to make any difference? Has anyone else ever noticed that?

When you buy something "Made in Taiwan" you can't expect OEM quality! :dunno:

I'm glad to know SteveO that you think so much about my nuts....

One thing for sure, you grade A mangled that one  We should have a mangled parts thread, I'm sure there are others:whistle:

On way to pick up my replacement bolts as I type. The threads are extremely soft. I clamped the hub down and used a saw Zan to cut nuts in half.....off in 5 minutes

Oh boy are we going to have fun with the thread again?

At least it is good info for people new to wrenching on their bikes.
