So, our experience with the '08 lasted 2.2 seconds

He's okay...been in the ER for much of the day, no broken bones after several x-rays, just sore as hell on his left side, mostly his hip. Thank goodness he DID have a full face on because his head took a whack on pavement too, helmet's rashed...leather jacket saved his skin, but he's got pretty bad soft tissue damage that will heal with time and drugs...

*sigh*

So, the '08 looked nice...LOOKED...got a couple of questions for the gang...

1) The mirrors look the same as on the first generation Busas. Are they?
2) Anyone updating their aftermarket exhaust and want to unload a clutch side pipe?
3) Are the clutch levers the same on this gen Busa as on the older ones? I need to find one of those...

I'd love some pricing on the nose piece and the clutch side fairing, as well as the front fender...are the '08 OEM products readily available through any vendors here?

Posting up some pics of the damage and we're paying out of pocket to fix this bike. I couldn't feel worse for my Uncle...damn bike had 3 friggin' miles on it. He hadn't even ridden it himself yet

To those that made that run in the mountains when Mike crashed our buddy's Harley, nope, I don't know that Mike's learned his lesson on riding others' motorcycles yet

Are the bar ends the same as the older generation Busas? Mine are packed away (have the Throttlemeisters on), so I don't have 'em readily available to compare...anyone know?

Any help on those few questions would be so appreciated...if some of these parts are the same as the older gen Busa parts, I may be able to secure them for less...

Now, someone shoot me...it's been one helluva day...

As soon as the Yosh pipes become available 11/15/07 (So they say), I would be more than happy to ship you a stock can to help out..

I would be interested in those, unless I can find some sooner...I'm sick that my Uncle's new damn bike is damaged, so as quickly as I can fix this, the better for everyone involved...

Much appreciated...

What happened?

The pics make me feel sick to my stomach
He came back and said it felt like something under the bike "dragged" and caused him to highside; after inspection (the bike's been lowered A LOT) nothing's damaged, belly pan is fine...later he described it as feeling like the front brake was on and the rear tire was sliding in oil...I think it was a combo of NEW tires and perhaps too much twist of the throttle. Mike later conceded that it may have been the tires and the slick treatment on 'em before they're worn in. He honestly doesn't know, only recalls that he landed on his left side, saw the bike sliding away...

It shook him up a lot...never seen him like this, but he's going to be OK

That's why I don't ride other peoples bikes. I'm sorry this happened to you guys. I hope you can get it all fixed up.

100% my stance on riding others' bikes too...Mike's never felt the same way, but I'm hoping he's learned a lesson here...it's been a sickening day

Tough lessons for all...

We're good BusaWhipped...no worries...could have been so much worse...

Glad he is OK.

Gotta suck but the bike can be fixed.

Man I am going to show some respect to mine when I pick it up next week....

Sorry to hear:( Sounds like he is in the same pain as I am right now. I have no idea on the Busa parts. Just tell him to get better soon!

That just sucks.
