SoCal ride 2008!! May 2nd, 3rd & 4th

Hey Charles, thanks for the invite. I'm going to try and be there for Saturday and Sunday. Ride over Friday and ride home Monday. Some great roads you've chosen. Sounds like a lot of fun. Definaely beats our local Arizona roads. Sorry I haven't gotten back to you sooner but work has been crazy (when it isn't raining).

I'm down for Saturday and Sunday for sure. I marked my calendar for Friday as well but I'll have to see how work is going that week.
I just hate being centrally located halfway between these San Diego and Los Angeles highways we'll be riding.

Count me and my wife in for at least one of the rides.
I'll be on our '02 VFR though, since Keri has offically stolen the Busa from me as her favorite bike.

OK, tomorrow I'm off to test ride one of the routes. Basically its the Santa Monica Mts, Ojai, Grimes Canyon, and back to the Santa Monica Mts.
I'll post back up mileage and meet points with proposed times.

We could go for Lockwood Valley or Cerro Noreste that day for extra creditOK, tomorrow I'm off to test ride one of the routes. Basically its the Santa Monica Mts, Ojai, Grimes Canyon, and back to the Santa Monica Mts.

Just got home!! I'm a little sore
After 5 months of no long distance riding, I'm out of shape and I took the 750. That seat gets really hard by the end of the day
Great ride though, beautiful day, couldn't ask for better weather.
You guys shoulda come. In Ojai, they had 2 college girls wearing nothing but short shorts and stickers over their nipples. AND they were on roller skates. Advertising something, the banner was in their hands, I wasn't looking at their hands
The ride, in miles, comes out to;
LGB to LGB = 378 miles
Sarting meet point to ending meet point(Santa Monica) = 306 miles
In hours it took me(including breaks and lunch);
LGB to LGB = 8 hours 45 minutes
Sarting meet point to ending meet point(Santa Monica) = 7 hours 25 minutes
This will probably be the Sunday ride.
