Through the pouring rain we rode from Pala, deciding to completely skip our foray up Palomar Mountain, and rode into Santa Ysabel. It was pouring... We fared pretty well, though, no one getting soaked, thanks to good road-gear. Vinny came totally prepared for this, complete with his rain-suit, and stayed dry and toasty warm. The picture-taking stopped through this period...as there wasn't really a reason to stop.
We took Highway 67 back to San Diego, and while coming over the pass, we rode into a low-lying cloud. It was thick as soup and visibility dropped to less than 20'. We were cold, the rain was coming down and we just wanted to get back to the warmth.
After getting off 67 and heading West, we got out of the storm and the roads dried up. Life was getting back to normal.
To end the evening, Owen, Danny and I went to Mona Lisa for dinner...before getting ready, though, I snapped this pic of Danny enjoying the view from my lower patio...
