I still think it looks pretty much the same as the Gen2.

This guy is more agressive on his shift rpm and he pretty much has topped out in 5th gear. That extra thousand rpm the Gen3 is showing is because he never redlined in 5th gear but worked up to top speed a little more gently.

...and actually, the Gen3 never goes past the 280 kph mark on the speedo. It sure looks like it can but the Gen2 went all the way. What I'm saying is, the extra thousand rpm you see at 280 kph is probably about the same as a Gen2 if it's ridden a little softer = not faster, probably about the same as the Gen2.

I'm curious how much the Gen3 speedo is off and how it compares to the Gen2 too.

It definitely looks and sounds like it's pulling harder than the gen 3... but we don't know how stock the 2 is. If I pick up another busa it will be a 2 for financial reasons.
