My First ride with another Busa owner was a contact I met through here. My Sunday Rides with Raider ALL THROUGH THIS BOARD...

And there are a dozen or so folks here on the board I calll friend without having ever met them. ALL BECAUSE THIS SPACE IS HERE!!!!

Damn it's pretty simple, we don't want the board to go away because it is how we keep in touch with our real world friends... It's our club house, our Garage space, our back porch...

Plain and simple.

Damn all you gotta do is look at all the group rides, the meets N greets... I had owners stopping by the shop just to say howdy on their way through. It's a hell of a thing...

I pretty new to the site, but I can tell you this. Owning my busa would not be the same without this site. This place is great. The discussions are great, the info is great and the people are even greater. I honestly don't know what, or how I would feel owning my bike and not being a part of this forum. It's pretty easy to see what this site means to a lot of folks. For me, I probably wouldn't own a Busa if I didn't have access to the research I did here. Sure it's out there at other sites, but why read between the BS profanity for the info.?

There are many members here who I consider friends that I haven't yet met.  People give me funny looks when I tell them I "met a guy from the internet and rode all day".  

 

There is simply no stepping away now. If this site were to suddenly shut down the economy would suffer greatly. Just think of all the members that may actually do something on computers at work. There is no way the sudden increase in production could be absorbed.

You have created a world wide Hayabusa Owners Group/family that I am proud to be a member of. To that I say Thank You.

The way I see it Cap, this is a good problem to have. A helluva lot of people "as you stated" that you don't know, are helping out the only way that they know how, and from reading some of the posts others are being extremely creative as to how they make the money. That there tells you the "sort" of people you have here. It's more than just a website, It's like my second home. And nobody wants anything bad to happen to their home, it's like their vacation spot, where I go when I want to drool over everyone elses accomplishments, and not be jealous in the least, send prayers for ill family members, laugh at semi clean jokes, and all from the privacy of my cube, and not have to worry about nekked chics up here. Like I said before you have built it, and we have come. This is a good way to show you just how much we care.

Yo Captain and MRS Captain, I told you WE wouldn't let this site go down and that we wouldn't let you suffer because of someone else's wrong doing!

When I got my BUSA back in November of 05', I had already researched in depth on your site. I signed up then and donated a small amount of money right away because I felt guilty because of all the information I got for FREE. I mean really good stuff on mods to techincal.

I have never met anyone from the org in person yet and aside from a few riff raff that comes and disappears, I consider all org members my friends. I can not wait to meet everyone who is coming to the BASH.

Thanks for giving in to RSD, and thanks for making this such a great site, Captain. I am always telling my friends and family about what I learned on the org or telling some of the funny jokes I read on the org. You made it all happen CAP! You DA MAN!!!

Oh yeah, there is nothing to repay. The way I see it, I am already in dept to you and all other members of the board, far more than I can ever repay.

Same here, What I have learned here, and the group buys, friends thru the org. Making me laugh just by reading a screen in front of me, Cap, it's the least any of us can do. We're family if you need something, Just ask.

Capt, you know if you ever need someone to check into prices for something I'm available and able! Heck I've got several contacts right here in middle America who own logo stenciling t-shirt, hat type businesses... I can honestly say I've NEVER taken one kick back or perk from a group buy. Every last cent saved is given to the members. But, enough on that glad to hear Andy worked something out with you! As I've said before the Org is its own ecosystem! A world within our own where new friendships have been made and extended family's formed! I love the fact you can learn so much about our beloved motorcycle and in the same breath discuss anything thats on your mind knowing the people here genuinely care. Lots of good folks.........

this place is very unique as there is no site quite like it on the net.

before i found this place i considered selling the busa because there are very, very, very few of them in ireland who ride them.
No were to buy mod,s and so on.........

their like outcasts of the biking community over here none of my friends ride them.

but becuase of this place i,l never sell it  EVER!!!

just the other night i was talking to a friend of mine about this site.

he said to me "what was the point of owning the busa cause very few here have them".

my reply was "i no over 12thousand busa riders and none of us are strangers to each other.(the power of the fingers on a keyboard can be a beautiful thing)

he rides an r1...I said to him go find me ,!! me a place anywere that you can say the same.!!!

13,000 members huh , well how about a $1.00 charge for each a month! Who can own a Busa and can't afford that?

Your a stand up guy Doug. I look up to that, and will help someone like that. frisbee is right if we got a Busa (or 2-3)that mods are being added all the time. We can afford a yearly membership fee. Sounds like a great idea. Its cheap for the info I find here. Make a yearly, monthly or even a quarterly payment option.

Capt. you are right I have never met you or do I know you . And I have only been here for about 6 months . But I found out in those 6 months just how good this site was . Im not one to sit in front of a computer . All I usually do is get on to pay my bills but since i found this site and the people on it .I cant wait to get on and check my pms eveymorning and see what i have missed through the night .In this day and age it is so unlike so many people to help strangers they have never met and ask for nothing in return..I by all means am nott rich I have bills just like everyone else kids to finish raising (19,18,12 almost grown) but if it takes me donating signing a contract or just giving once a month to keep this site going I will find it.. Over the years ive seen a bunch of sites charge member fees for stuff shall we say is questionable activities but people pay for it and really get nothing out of it.. Youcan be on here for one noght and learn so much on how to save money on your bike or handle the problems the right way the first time.That inits self is more then enough reason to keep this site open..And with a mod like RSD it is hard to argue .. So from someone you dont know and never met Thanks for starting the site and making it what it is .But if you dont mind we are going to start paying for it..Any way we can.. MAtt
