All I do every day is talk with my clients about how to prepare themselves both financially and to a certain degree emotionally when life throws any curve balls at you.  So, Bob, I take your situation to heart and it pains me when I have spoken with people about these types of life events and they still take no action to prepare themselves, their spouses and their children.  My wife's father has had Parkinson's for 18 years...they only gave him 6-8 years originally and it's amazing he has lived this long...so there is hope.  And he fully understands who we are in relation.

None of us think (fill in the blank) will happen to us.  I know many 40+ year olds that are still like teenagers in thinking "it" will happen to the OTHER guy, not me.  They don't understand that they don't have life under their control.  I will use your story as an example to others so they may make better choices in life.

Sincerely,

Keith

Bob, my Busa brother....words cannot express what I am feeling right now. Trust me when I can say, I know what happens when life life throws the curve ball. I know what it is like having riding taken away...with no idea when it will come back.

Like all know that ride, we understand the release from just getting out even for a short spin. My Brother, I give you my word, make the Bash in a month or so and I will personally take you through either 2 up on my Busa or bring my wifes BMW for some spirited cage action.

If you need just to vent, I am nothing but a phone call away and I can be there in a few hours.......

Bob, all of us here at RoadLoK - Are saddened by your news. And like others have said, there's not much more we can say that hasn't been said before. Do know that you are in our thoughts though.
The members of this forum have once again shown us all what "family" is all about. This is an awesome family of friends and there is no doubt that they (we) all care about you. Stay in touch!

Thank you for sharing this. I've spent more money than I should have on trackdays and vacations and have wondered if I was making a mistake. But when I hear this I'm a very glad I did it while I can!

I'm hoping you beat the odds!

Bob, I am so sorry. I know there are no words I can say. I never got a chance to meet you but know that you are in my prayers I promise.

I feel like I should say more but what could I. Your words of advice definatly are etched in my brain. It's very hard even to look at those pictures I can only imagine how hard it must be for you to look at them. If being on the org. here makes you even more depressed than I don't blame you for leaving this place. I however wish you could stick around.

I'm sorry again that I have no uplifting words

Chris
