Street/strip gen 1

Been 220 in fifth
had been having a miss fire issue under hard load for 30-40 seconds
Goal is 250 Naked

lol
I remember when 200mph was a much bigger deal than it is now(I've only been 197mph, gps...only)
Now it seems like more guys have been 220mph...and are shooting for 250mph...250mph on a streetable motorcycle...that is incredible!
I wish you well and hope you acheive your goal!
I was giggling as I approached 200mph(I knew I didn't have the gearing, and was seeing how close it would get, 197)...but 250mph?? lol! That's insane...where do I sign up? lol.
Maybe I'll get to ride a big turbo one day...then have to have one...

I have been doing stuff like this for a very long time as I will be 73 soon.
I hope I can go that fast when I'm that young lol.
come to Loring and I can put you on Hertz rental Busa
If I'm ever up that way I may take u up on that offer.
You running thc or hand slider or slider? With a stage one turbo kit on a stock motor I have gone 5.2 with no boost controller 280whp on wastegate spring. With more time with that set up it could of gone deep 5.1 maybe 5.0s. Power is one thing but having the bike dialed in is a big thing.
Stock hand clutch with a mix of brocks springs and springs from the back torque eliminator.
You can still street a hand slider. One of the guys in my area street rides his bike with a hand slider. He just swaps out the static springs.
I try to ride this bike from San antonio to dallas and back so idk if I could do a slider. But I don't know to much about what they can and can't do either.
Yeah I know. I actually rode mine to work one day. Definitely takes a little of the “Street Bikeness”. Out of a setup.
My bike goes 8.8 at 177 mph with my old lockup with a 1.9 shorts. Hahaha. That is riding it 40 miles to the track.
If you couldn't got the 60' down it could've easily went 8.50s

You really don’t need rods. Yes cheap insurance but if your tune is good no rods. I ran a 1397 stock rod motor for a season and a half spraying 100 to 150 shot at it. I was spraying a 40 shot at 6krpm no ramp in and then ramping in a 2nd kit at 7600 rpm. All with a power commander. I think another season it would of been in the 4s. But I bought a bigger motor that’s set up for a big shot.
Well that just saved me a bit then. I could do a 81mm high compression and a 100 shot progressive. I'd only need it to work like that for a couple months until I can put a strictly race motor for my dad's roller together. What did it run on motor?

The 1397 bike on motor ran 8.8s all day with a true hand clutch. It went 8.40 164 mph on a 55 shot true hand clutch. Then I stepped it up to a 120 shot and it was trapped 145mph in the 1/8th. That was starting at 50% at 7200 rpm and 1 second ramp in. It was pretty violent.

With head work and cams?? That seems like it was a pretty solid set up though. Was it violent cause it ramped in fast or because it was a big shot

The head has valve springs, mega cycle cams, 1mm oversized valves, and ports were cleaned up. I wouldn’t say it’s a real good port and polish. Big shot and fast ramp. 60shot is pretty strong on a bike.
Oh okay so pretty much a full out head w/o porting kind of. Did u dyno it?? I could do a 100 shot and use the nos mini 2 stage. Hopefully it could work down at like 30% and u been ramp it in from there. That and pretty much a stock motor with a little work should put me and my dad around the same et or hopefully me a bit faster lol.

Question since yall are pretty smart if one was to use gen 2 pistons on a gen 1 crank without base gasket and thin head gasket would u get the the 12.5 or close to it compression of a gen 2 with a gen 1 head. My dad just had his bike apart and factory gen 2 was in hole about .013 and with head gasket that's .043 piston to head. With no base and thin head gasket it puts me at .0473 so would that make it pretty close. Playing with compression calculator with info i could find 18cc head volume its showing gen 1 may have 8-8.5cc dish and gen 2 5-5.5 dish. With -5.5cc for piston volume and 18cc for combustion chamber I got 11.9 is that pretty accurate for what It'd be. My dad's has a few full gen 2 sets of rods and pistons so was thinking of swapping them in for a little more compression and maybe a .378 intake cam just for right now with intake on exhaust
