StreetShark's Hayabusa

Great run ......

I can't remember if you have a quick shifter.....I'd imagine you do as those are smooth shifts....
Yep I have the Woolich quick shifter. The pass wasn’t the best I can do, but all that matters is that it was better than everyone else I guess. We were given a single pass, with no prep, and no burnouts. I wasn’t sure if I was going to get any traction at all but it turned out ok.

Some photos from the car show / race event over the weekend. My bike parked with a buddies B-King project bike, and the turbo ZX-14 that came in second behind me at 153MPH

Your bike definitely stands out....

That ZX must have been scratching for traction as it should have dominated
Yeah the owner and I discussed that before the racing started. She said she was somewhere between 8-10 over. The bike is way too long and she plans to shorten is up quite a bit and that’ll definitely help. Were talking about Shift Sector next year so maybe we’ll see that bike out in Indy as well.

I made a couple revisions to my lock cylinder design.

The threads are now integrated into the knob instead of using a separate screw to hold everything together. This should eliminate the possibility of the knob slipping during operation (I had a couple customers report this on ZX10s).

I am also using 7075 instead of 6061 now.

If anyone here is interested in picking one up, the pre order is available now

New run of LCDs should be done in a week I hope, and then I plan to move on to kickstand and tank brackets shortly after that. Probably beginning of January.

The bike is almost sorted out other than wheels. I had removed the front wheel to work on a part, found there is a rattling noise inside and now I'm questioning the integrity of the wheels. I'll be sending them out to be examined and hope it's determined they are safe to use.

Been working on a few projects and not posting much. There are a few things I do not want to share publicly yet but I have some ideas in motion to test out that I am pretty excited for.

I can share this one though. Lightweight lower clamp. Estimating a little over a pound of savings here.

Balance beads in the wheels?
No it’s something broken inside the spokes. Were hoping it’s a loose piece of resin that may have been on the metal hub during production that just loosened on impact but it might be a small piece of carbon too… Won’t know until I hear back.
