stuck in the shop for the next 18hrs

dangit!!! my power strip keeps poppin and leavin me in the dark. and i think my dog has abandoned me and gone inside.

:poke:i think its time to open another fat tire and hunt down the jim beam. :glare:

time for the rack rotation, and hurray! the 2nd pork roast is done! i did this one with a mustard pineapple glaze. smoked some pineapple to go with it:cheerleader:

looks like im about done. another 1/2 hour or so, then i can clean up. think i'll rake the coals around and let the beast of a shop stove burn down.

im really really bored. took some bike pics to break through the smoke. didn't think yall'd mind.

:cheerleader: it's done! juicy awesomeness:bowdown: it only took 13-14hrs (good thing because i'm almost out of chipped wood). but it is so worth it! this may be some of the best I've done yet. Bill is going to be jazzed, and he needs every smile he can muster today. im going to give him a call in a few and tell him to come pick up lunch.
well the fire is out, and the brisket is done....and so am i.
thanks for riding it out with me. it has been a long night. :whistle: i had plans to do a bunch of stuff in the shop but cookin kept me so busy i didn't have time to do much.

:poke: ya know, one of us "rednecks" needs to show up at a busa gathering and treat yall to some real food.

ok here is some pics of the finished product. i wish you could smell this. i used a 7 spice rub and had marinaded it in jack Daniels marinade for about 48hrs before hand. had let it warm to room temp for a couple hours before i put it on the smoker. i know that the heat of my shop stove helped it cook faster. i'd still be fighting it if i had put it outside. the wind is 50+ today. ya just can't keep the heat in the wind.

Looks good man, cant wait to get home and start using the grill to cook some real food. This chow hall can burn down for all I care.
Jules said she would take me out to a great BBQ place when I get back to Mississippi, after seeing these pics I dont think I will be able to contain myself.
