**The OFFICIAL TEAM GIXXER smacktalk thread**

It BARBER WEEK, Baby!!!! Bump to the top for some fresh SMACKTALK!!!! Woot, Woot!!

Keith, I heard your rotors were shaking so bad because they were scared of you HAVING to use them to late break and keep up?

Daniel, you signed up yet?!?!?!?!?

Man, I REALLY want to! I'm still a little skeered about taking the green machine out there. She's my one and only, you know.

I see there's a Barber weekend just in time for my birthday in September... No promises, but I'll keep thinking about it. Heck, my riding has slowed down so much I wouldn't even know what to do out there.

You would be fine! They can put you back in group 8 if needed

Daniel, in your situation with traction control and ABS, you have one objective, PIN IT TO WIN IT!!!

Seriously, would be great to have you back out there! And as long as it was dry (or wet but driving within reason :)) you shouldn't worry. It's all about the right wrist.. I rode the gixxer as my one and only at the track for a couple years...jus sayin :)

Yeah, I get what you're saying. Actually, I don't have ABS though.

The first time I ever raised the rear tire on this bike was following YOU on 143 in Robbinsville. The turkey waited for the rest of the group to pass, but flew directly in front of me, at eye-level. Since then I've messed around with it some more, and it's really pretty controllable. Unlike the Dunlops, this Angel GT will start to slide once the rear comes up a bit, but it's not abrupt and still pretty easy to handle. Of course the Pirellis would not come to the track with me.

I'll definitely think about coming back down there. That's all I can say at this point, but know that I definitely want to.

Was wondering when someone would bring this back up...

Daniel, if you are only going to pick one weekend this year - October is the one that everyone wants and usually sells out by July or August at latest.

Jay, how hard was it to spoon that 200 rear slick on? They are a biotch even with my no-mar....

The hardest tire we have EVER installed!!! Even more difficult than cold touring tires. Of course it didn't help that it was rainy and about 60 degrees so we weren't able to let the tire sit in the sun and heat up to make it more pliable...

Seriously, my forearm still hurts from the bar AND we had to pull out extra stops just to get it on.... Next time i'm gonna put the tire warmer on it for an hour before we change it

Last month when I put mine on, the tire had been out in my pickup for a week (at 30 degrees); it was hard as a brick. I put in on a warmer to help.

I don't think you'll be complaining much after a session or two on Saturday with it :)

I hope not, but the forecast needs to frickin improve!!!!!!!!

Ok, it's entirely too nice a day out there today, I'm getting 'itchy' to put a spankin on Jay :)

And run off track again... :-)

No, I learned my lesson on that one...but you have to admit, it was EPIC and stories will be told to children around campfires about it for generations.....I'm the one that ran off, and I'm laughing the hardest about it..

So, who is gonna get me Elena Meyers' autogragh? ???

I'm curious do you guys sit up front in class, When Elena Meyers teaching you Rookies.

Hey if she teaches a class, I would GLADLY sit up front and learn from her!!! She may not be the fastest AMA rider on the grid, but she still makes me look silly!
