**The OFFICIAL TEAM GIXXER smacktalk thread**

Jay has a 1:38.9 arrgh! Even though I was within a tenth of my best, still a half second off Jay, who consistently passes me in the entrance to turn 5. I TOLD YOU those slicks were worth a second or two!

I get to the paddock, and Charlie tells me to come see my new BMW!! And, talk about autographs :)

Had a blast out there, especially following Charlie during the last session of the day. Didn't reach my goal of 1:45 but had two 1:46's and a few 1:47's. Can't wait to follow you out there Chris.

Also, during the riders meeting I was standing next to Elena Myers and Jason Disalvo. I wanted to get a picture but I figured if everyone asked that wanted a pic, they would have no free time. It was nice just to listen to the pro's talk and laugh. I have never been so close to that kind of rider talent.

Keith and Jay were tearing it up out there as usual too, but just when you think you are fast, Disalvo and Myers blows past.

Man that is one BEAUTIFUL bike!!!! That thing must be FAST!!!

Good to see you again Trey, you coming in May? You will be in A before you know it. Looking good out there!!

Man, Saturday was such a good day! Weather was perfect, not hot at all... To start this season, I had slicks and vortex clip-ons which gave me a different riding position to get used to.. My first couple session sucked because my turn in points had to change with the new tires and my throttle use was choppy with my hand position being different..

After taking through lunch to sort that out, it was go time... Advanced was PACKED all day so Keith and I never really could get a clean lap without hitting a few corner parkers.... But finally we found the perfect time to go out and threw down some good lap times. The slicks stuck like glue and gave me a lot more confidence, but still need more time to really get better accelerating out of corners... I had a FRIGGIN blast and can't wait to get back out there. I know those tires have more in them, just dont think I have the skill to find it!!!

I new you would like those slicks!! The faster you get the less time you are gonna get out of your tires.
Here in Texas we call that fast guy problems...lol.
Hopefully I make it out sometime this year

By the way, Jay you were right the best time to go out is at the back of the first group (racers) as they all clear off and you get 10 seconds on everybody behind you - the faster guys pass you soon enough, but you don't get caught in the other traffic...

I had a great weekend too. Super Saturday and 1/2 a soaking Sunday still makes for a great weekend. My bike tried to kill me once (spun out a bit) going up the hill after 2 /3 in the soaking rain, but she failed and we kept on riding. Thanks to Jay for the BIG help on a wet Sunday afternoon. It was reported that the Chunky Charlie suit made an appearance, maybe somebody can dig up a picture...

I was peeling my wet tape off last night, thinking "are we there again yet?" :)

Oh yeah, and look what showed up yesterday...hoping this fixes my vibration issue...

Oh yea baby! I am going to get tons of great footage being in front of you!!

That should take some good quality video right there!! If only you could get good sound from the exposed camera...

Got a few good pics from the weekend. My BP suffered terribly over the winter, especially left handers in turn 5.... But maybe that was more because I was simply trying to hang on rather than have good BP :)

The 4th pic is AMA rider Derrick Cantrell on a Panigale blowing turn 5 right in front of me after passing me going into turn 1... I was laughing in my helmet

Just so you know, you're crashing in the last pic....BP suffering...you suck.

I hit turn 5 a few times just waiting for the bike to let go, thank goodness never did.... I have to work on my trail braking into that turn!!

I look at that last pic and can only think, "no wonder my knee hurts"

That last pic is EPIC. I can't do that no matter how I try. You need to buy that pic and send it to me to print it....

I was laughing in my helmet too when Cantrell ran off was behind you and saw it...

Looking good there "JayBird"! Give them old farts something to shoot for :)

Congrats on giving DiverMan a fresh threshold to climb over (On your first day out in the spring as well, can't beat that)!
