**The OFFICIAL TEAM GIXXER smacktalk thread**

Congrats on your pb Jay!
Glad you are having fun out there.
Looks to be satisfying work. Especially when folks get bumped up after you school them!
Last pic is the Best!

The last was my favorite too :)

And you're exactly right on the student. What I didn't to was let the student back around me before he biffed it... I had let him go earlier in the day when I was on Charlie's bike and actually couldn't keep up since I was handling the 07 "with the utmost care" :)... So on the 6th session (when he crashed), he followed me the entire time and I gradually upped the pace. Every time I looked back he was on my ass. I'd give him a thumbs up and keep going. I should have let him back around and followed him the rest of the time, which is where I would change what I did. It was actually after getting the CHECKERED FLAG in turn 1 that he crashed in turn 2.

This is where you learn when you start instructing, and it's great. At the end of the day, I feel I should have handled it differently due to his personality (and probably kept him from crashing), but I also know that I can't be responsible for it since I can't control his brain and right hand.. It was a great learning experience i'll take with me to Barber this weekend

You would have had fun with the rider in I last month that I had to go chase down as he was ignoring Black Flags...it took me three laps, but it was fun to do!

I did a little Photochop 'play' with a high quality image I had...used the "plastic wrap" filter, which turned it into a piece of art rather than a pic....48 wide now on my office wall...looks like you could reach out and touch the wrinkles..thought it was pretty cool...

My 1.5 sessions of fame! So basically all pics are from first session and turn 11 at Eagles Canyon Raceway TX.

Had a great time at Barber this weekend! Coaching is definitely work; however, on Sunday, I had group five and a guy doing his very first track day. After one of the afternoon sessions, I was evaluating him and we were moving at a pretty good clip. I'd have him pass me, then pass him back, etc.. When we came in, the HUGE smile on his face was worth it. Dude was officially HOOKED after that session.

BTW - The durn track bike is getting sold ASAP after the same mechanical duplicated itself and my original 06 is going back to track duty. Sure will miss that quickshifter :)

Oh... and I had to go out with Keith one session to put him in his place :poke: :moon:

I cannot lie...You have just gotten too fast..but I'm still twice your age I deserve a handicap :)

Although, I did get a chance to explore your Charlotte's Web Brake line...makes sense just not sure I have the guts to do it...

Jay are you going to make it to NCM next month?
Or
BARBER in October?

Will definitely be at Barber in October... NCM, not sure on that one. I'll have my trailer by then and would love to coach. I'd really love for them to have their power situation remedied, but i'm sure they won't.

I know where you can buy a 1000 if your selling your track bike! It would make a good one. :D
