**The OFFICIAL TEAM GIXXER smacktalk thread**

How many trackdays have you done so far? Can you run a session of I without getting passed much? How comfortable do you feel about close passing? (6 inches instead of 6 feet in places you don't expect it)... 1:48 is fast enough, but getting passed by some of these guys (including current AMA racers) is a gonad-shrinking experience. This is my third year and only my second weekend in A. I ran a 1:43 last month and still was one of the slowest ppl in A. I would recommend you run in I and find a coach, ask him to follow you and if you are fast/predictable enough, ask them to move you up. Vacancies always occur because SOMEONE will crash out.

I was thinking the same thing. If you run in I and there is room to bump up, a coach can always run a session with you to see if they think you wuold be safe in A. 1:48 is fast enough to at least run in A( won't pass many people but that is a respectable time). The key would be how smooth and predictable you were around the track as well as being comfortable with CLOSE passing.

I agree with you guys...I is the group for me! Not to concerned with passing close and all. But I will more than likely have more fun in I group. Sept sounds doable tho..

Great!! Looks like we may actually get to meet this time. It wouldn't hurt to sign up SUPER early either just to make sure you get a spot. Let us know which Sept event with STT you sign up for and I will do that one as well. Keith will do both but I can only do one of the Sept events.

And by this are you saying that I is the group for you because it will be more fun for you to pass people? I sometimes miss that because I could pass basically anyone in the group but A is just a whole different experience. I might get out in A and be able to pass 3 people, but I definately feel like it allows you to better yourself as a rider in A.

But it is nice to have people on the track with you to play with. I was at Little Tally this past weekend and ran in A group on Sunday. There were 5 people on the track at first and only 2 or 3 by the end of the day because of the heat and not many spots were sodl in the first place. I ran a couple sessions were I LITERALLY did not see another bike. It got kinda lonely for a while and I got really excited when an instructor or someone came out to play
