Took some pics this morning while out there

Sleepless: I saw takeuon cleaning his wheels after every ride at the bash! You both must read from the same :rulez: book! They are nice.... but man they do collect dirt!

I was gonna raise the BS flag from your original pic before I saw this post because I clean my rims and 100 miles later they're dirty (and mine are BLACK Carro's) as heck. I thought he's full of it, there's no way the rear tire looks like THAT after a 300 mile ride! ??? Chain yes, if kept waxed, rims....heck no! I wish there was a way to keep them cleaner because as beautiful as they are, they are a chore to clean every nook and cranny. Someone needs to invent an anti-road grime product that keeps junk from sticking to a wheel.....a little throttle and the centrifugal force tosses it back to where it came from!!

One thing I can recommend is use Pledge on your wheels, too. It keeps the dust from sticking to them. They do get dusty during the ride. Once you've done it, all you have to do is dust them off after each ride. Takes me like 5 minutes to do both wheels. I use a terry towel for dusting them off.
It's funny, when I went to the CZ website to check it out, they recommend Pledge to clean it on the "Frequently Asked Questions." I saw this after I've been using it.

I'll give it a try....as it is now they get cleaned once a week, have to ride to work everyday and I don't feel like cleaning them after midnight on 2nd shift. Nighty night time.

THX

Unfortunately I think the painted finish on my Marchesini wheels is too soft .
If I wipe them when dirt is still on them for sure they scratch up .
Your wheels are anodized red aren't they ?

I believe they are anodized red . DNGRUMPY has the same ones on his bike. They got dirty just moving it out of the trailer!

I spent like forever cleaning mine as you see in thread I just linked .
I think I went inside to pee and came out and they were already dirty !
Ride it for only a few mins and the black is dusty and dirty .
If I don't hose that off first before I polish then the painted finish scratches .
Anodizing being such a thin finish and harder makes Sleepless' job a bit easier than mine .

I wonder if in the future I want to , can I have forged Magnesium wheels anodized ?

I am going to try some plegde on my stockers and see if you 2 are right about this method working!:poke::rulez::thumbsup:

5 mins? You must be using polish then. Washing 2 rims takes a lot longer than thatn unless you have trained monkey to reach in there with a wash sponge. SO......do you? And can I borrow him?

I've NEVER washed mine with a hose since I bought her more than two years ago.
Once you've used Pledge on them, all you have to do is dust them off after each ride because Pledge stays on there. It's SO EASY to get the dust off when it's coated with it. Believe me, I'm amazed, too.

All wheels collect dust. The difference is with Pledge, dust doesn't stick to them.

I can't wait to hear from you after using Pledge. By the way, what color's yours? Just wondering.
