Top Speed!?!?

does this work for you?
dang it! theres that red x again!

Missing something... bikes will run different speed on different days. Atomsphere matters on ringing out the highest speeds. Hot, cold, humidity, wind - even a little can help or hurt... road surface, tires and tire pressure matters too. Since were only talking the difference of a few MPH on the top end just thought I throw this out.

There is a theoretical limit of speed associated with max rpm, gearing and tire size that you just can't exceed. I don't have the time or the inclination to figure this out, however it would be a cool little program for some math genuis to figure all the variables for a theorical speed limit calcuator. Just like long range shooters use ballistic trajectory programs to enter variables(bullet weight, powder, coeffiecnt of drag, muszzle velocity etc.) to find out bullet drop and distance.

ask and you shall recieve. this is already setup using the gen1 busa's drag coefficient and a total weight of bike and rider of 710lbs with stock gearing but you can manipulate any of the variables based on YOUR conditions and YOUR bike as long as you know what those variables are. So according to this spread sheet, on a "perfect" 80 degree day with low humidity and assuming a perfect tuck, blah, blah,blah....it would only take 184hp for a gen1 busa to reach 200 mph given unlimited distance for acceleration.

That sounds reasonable.

Yeah, unresticted in 99 and 00. In the Guiness Book of Records, claimed 194mph stock, by radar, world's fastest production bike(at the time)
With exhaust, light rider, and good conditions...I belive it
