IMHO, my .02, etc.: Unless you are a dragracing addict, extending your swingarm like that reminds me of those wannabe guys in the 90's who extended their wheels out past the fender of their cars so half their tire was exposed. That was when having "smaller" chrome rims was supposed to be stylin'. Now it's the opposite: largest diameter possible inside the wheel well...oh w/ spinners.

So when is someone going to put a hydraulic lift system on their Busa?

I'm still debatin it
get a 240, then later get another 1K for the twisties

but since I just switched my suspension
I'll prolly go w/ lightweight wheels

over_easy you like that imagry huh? cuz i have seen you talk about in the 90s and fenders in acouple posts. be easy playboy. its just a show bike there is definatly practicallity to what im doing. by thanx for the opion.:p

I stopped by CSC and all the 240's are off center. Is this true for other manufacturers? I did like the look and was strongly considering it, but when i look at them from behind, all I see is the rear wheel slightly right of center. Seems like it should have two-wheel steering.

I'll be putting 1 on my next project bike.. Some like it some don't. who cares.... If your feeling it, do it! F__k what everybody else thinks

Even with the extended arm, wouldnt that much more weight and mass hurt you quarter mile times? I'm no drag racer, it just seems to defeat the purpose (If your racing). For a show bike, to each his own, I personaly cant stand the stretched look, but understand why you do it if you race.

i like it.. ive installed a couple 300 kits but i like the look of the 240 better

Cool, let's get some pics posted. Is is basically an air bag that lifts and raises like they have for cars?

I just purchased a 2000 with a Trac 240 swingarm
Perfomance Machine Rims look great---you can go to Trac Dynamics and put a package together.
Check out New Indy member--I have rode 99 busa's bike and I really didn't feel any difference taking the curves. If you read up on the 240 kit it is very rideable and with the trac you don't have to have an extra sprocket---other than rideability issues--most people commenting on the ride have not saddled up a 240.

IMO it just sets up a great look on the bike--not too little and not too much like a 300. I have a 6 inch stretch with Arnott airride. LOVE IT--go for it!! I will post pictures....
