Transmission

I almost forgot, take a piece of cardboard as big as the bottom half of the cases and draw a basic likeness of the bolt holes. Then punch holes with a nail where each bolt goes then as you remove them place them in the holes so nothing is mixed up.

If repairing second gear only,No crank removal, are the crank seals disturbed when removing the lower case? If so do they need replacing or just sealant on the O.D.?

Both stator & cam chain are 'wet', just thin film of a top quality RTV sealant at required areas. Do you have a manual? If needed I'll send required info

Wow, you're absolutly right. I guess I dont need to worry about seals. I checked my manual on disk. It has been awhile since I split cases. My last two Suzukis never had any shifting problems what so ever. 1992 GSXR 750 52,000 miles, 1998 TL1000R 15,000 mi. Then I buy my Busa second hand with 10,000 mi. never missed A shift, Afetr 3,000mi. of ownership I realize there is a problem. Thought the engine was cutting out. But thanks to this site I know the real problem.

Hey its not easy being so powerful
