From Susan.
Hi everyone. Thank you so much for all your prayers and good thoughts. We appreciate it more than you could know. I would especially like to thank Jerome. I don't know what Paul and I would do without the support of good friends like him. He will probably be the person to do most of the updating but since I have a few minutes finally, I thought I'd write. Sorry if it seems a little impersonal but it's 2:20 am and I'm exhausted.
Paul had surgery this morning. They put pins in his right wrist and plates in his left wrist but decided not to do his leg yet. They feel that the abrasions on his leg are not healed enough and cause an increased risk for infection. He's back on the ventilator tonight just to give his body a rest after the surgery but the docs don't see any reason why he won't be able to come off it tomorrow. I am considering transferring Paul up home for the leg surgery. The doc here says he doesn't want to do it for another week and that there is no reason he couldn't be transferred to a doctor up home for the surgery. I think we have found a doctor but we have to contact him to see if he's willing to take Paul on. PLEASE pray for the doctor to accept him and his continued improvement.
Thank you all again. It really helps to have so many people praying for him during this time.
