VA fall ride?

I like it. Looks great! I'm sure I can setup a group discount on rooms at the Hampton Inn near the starting point for those riders that want to come the night before or stay the night of the get together. I'll definitely be staying there and anyone can use my room as a pit stop before the ride.
So now we just need a date ... how about Oct 9th or Oct 16th ??

I am going to take a drive or ride through that route in the next week or two and time it. I'm also looking for landmarks (places to stop) along the way, and approximate times to be at each one, so that folks can join up along the way if they want, and if they can't make it to our starting point in Falmouth.

Sounds great Sage. I was gonna be a cager my first time through. Been having neck and back problems and going to the bone doctor. If you are up for a ride though to test the route I certainly would be too. I need to get my Tobins back first. Sent my seats in yesterday. Hope it won't take more than a week or two. I'll get hold of you when I get a free Saturday. Thanks!

man wish I could make this one. Oct 2 for me is now gone, will be in Seattle and the 9-18th I'm on a cruise out of San Juan. Looks like it might be spring time before I can get up there to ride with all of you. Have a good ride though and take lots of pics

I'm in Winchester, VA. It's a great ride so if a date gets set we are in. The bike has been sitting for weeks from my work schedule and maybe a few more. So we'll be ready for a good ride when this comes together. If things don't ease up with the storms hitting I might have to take a few days of sick leave and come down with Busa fever.

I think it will be a pretty fun route. It's not the "Dragon's Tail" or anything like that, but it will be fun for riders of lower to intermediate riding skills. The twisties through the mountains are pretty fun. I'll put out a formal announcement later on, but for now we know we will be meeting on Rt 17 at about 8:30 AM. We'll try to leave at 9:00 AM. Meeting place TBD.

Dr J, man I wish I had seen your post, we just had an awesome ride thru your area, down 234 to 619 (Joplin Road) whewww that has the twisties then down to Fredricksburg to 301 across to MD and on to Solomons island for lunch. Oct 9th is good for me! I'll be sick thats for sure!

What to do, what to do...the family rides up to the Gotham Bike show in NYC that weekend. It is being held on the USS Intrepid. The show was ok last year, but the ride was sweet. They all ride on the dark side...even a HD, if you catch my drift. I have to succumb to the forces of the dark side when around them and ride my crui..., I can't even say it here. I'll say '87 Suzuki Intruder VS700. Hey, at least it's a Zuk, right? I think I am going to forego NYC for the second time this year and ride with some new friends I have found. Ronin...what is this thing up in Glen Burnie? What time?
