Virginia Spring Ride 2006

Oh sure, go ahead and do one of the best rides ever when I can't make it.

I think you guys should only be allowed to ride up and down I-85 all day. :-0

Be safe!!!!

See you all on May 6th for the "real" ride.

Tom.

The mods were simple, I did the wave rotors on the front, new veloicty stacks all Long, New hotter daul tip Plat plugs, had the Yosh pipe cut down from 18.5 inches to 13.5 than since it was less restrictive had the computer fine tuned for better performance. Can't have enough power you know. The cut down pipe and remapping idea came from Moto GP racing article about having exhaust less restrictive. Not only does it look better without this big ole pipe but less pipe less it sounds better and of course a little extra on the performance side. There comes a point that you would lose power not having some type of back pressure but I am no where near that

So it is all good.

Hope to see all on Saturday.

I don't have a current picture with the waves but will this weekend,  however here is the before and after on the pipe.

I don't think my neighbors like it being louder but.... like the Harley guys say... "Loud Exhaust Saves Lives"

You be the judge because it might just be me, but I think it looks better with the shorter CAN.

That looks sweet. The whole package is pretty nice...

Weather looking bad at this time, will be there if roads are dry, if weather is like today morning might be wet but late morning looked great and sun was out, I think tomorrow is suppose to be much of the same. I will check out this post to see what the plan is, have a all day pass so if morning does not work maybe we can blast by lunch or something even if only for a couple of hours... I can get rid of some rubber in a couple hours

11:00pm now and the forecast looks good enough for me. It actually looks about the same as the last Spring ride, except a bit warmer. Sun poking through the clouds at times, possible thunderstorm. Unless I wake to pouring rain and a totally bogus weather forecast I'll be there as planned. If noone else shows, I'll take lots of pictures.

Well, the weather was beyond cooperative for the ride today. Perfect temperatures in the 70's, cool breeze, partly cloudy skies, and no rain. Bill (vmaxbaby), Paul (UUBusa), and I got rid of our chicken strips on a very spirited ride from Winchester to Seneca Rocks and back. For all of you slackers, you missed a perfect day for riding. It's going to take a while to remove this grin from my face! Thanks Paul and Bill for the great ride.

... Glad you all had mad fun!!

Sorry I couldn't be there too guys. Looks like it was a great ride. It actually rained here in Stafford most of the day. See you on May 6th for the Harrisonburg (spring) ride.

Tom.

Sorry I missed the ride, my hubby had already committed to riding with our bike club. We left at 7:30 and got home at 17:30. We ended up close to where you guys were riding. We had stopped in Baker and a few Busa's went by, I waved like crazy hoping it was riders from the board. We rode down toward Timberville via Luray, back up near Moorefield, then Winchester. Went by the Sheetz at Rt 11 around 3pm. Hopefully I get to ride with you the next time.

I second that motion! Looks like a great ride!
Speaking of the spring ride...anyone with any ideas for lodging Friday night?
Ride safe,
Darryl

The ride was excellent, don't let the pictures fool you more times than I can count on one hand we were deep in the triple digits on the speedo not sure how it happend. I think something was wrong with all our bikes, because on certain straights they had a mind of their own, only thing I remember is being in 5th at 10,000 rpm and holding on for dear life and loving every minute of it

I think some of the roads still are smoking from the mighty Busa's.

Sorry I won't be at the May 6th ride with everyone but will hook up on the next ride. We will have to get some rides together in between the big rides for those that miss.

Later,
Bill
