always remember, *you* are the customer, you have rights, including the right to take your anus somewhere else.  At the end of the day for him, its a business and he depends on customers (though hopefully not repeat customers

)  but you need to treat this like any other lack of customer service and beotch like hell if they arent communicating effectively.

Phone call was made at 8am.....waiting again......

Wife just got a call, they want us to come in tomorrow at 4pm......no dice.

I just called them back and told them I cannot wait another 36hrs on the results. I am on pins and needles right now. The nuse is sending a message for the the doc to call me......

I'm with you on that one Kevin...the waiting is just too much...if you don't hear back from him soon, storm the office...

It just seems it is one thing after another......I am so sick of the Health Care system.

Just another example:

On Thursday night, I had another infection open up on my incision. Keep in mind that I am 2000mg of antibiotics a day.

We went to the doc on Friday with a 12:15 appointment, were not seen until 1:30.....

Doc looked at the new infection, and said it is a reaction to a internal stitch. She started probing for the stitch, nothing there. My wife asked should the site be cultured to see what they are...

Doc's response "that would be a good idea"

Got the culture results back on Tuesday, back in the office yesterday. I have 2 stands of infection that are resistant the the antibody I have been on for 14 days....

Keep in mind, I have been to the office 4 times in those 14 days, you think they would notice something.....simply amazing.

Now I get to start on another antibody to see if it will clear up the infection.....

My entire treatment is on hold because of this infection....

No kidding...health care isn't what it should be. I think we all have had our gripes, and it's a sad fact, but you almost have to self-diagnose anymore to get the help you need...

OK here is the news......

I have several enlarged nodes around my liver with cancer cells. I also have lesions on my liver that may or may not be cancerous. More test will be run I am sure.

The reason for no call, the cancer doc wanted more time to review the scan, he is working out of town right now, and he wanted to go over the scan with us personally.

This is not the worst news I could have gotten but not the best either. The best part is now they know what areas need to be targeted and we are going to move forward.....

OK, so now they know what to concentrate on, tell them docs to get to work, you have a Busa and a R1 that needs to be ridden. I will still be praying for you Kevin, and I am sure everyone else will to. If ya ever need me to help in any way, just call.

OK, so regroup and start plan B...how soon before you'll be in for more testing? Did they know those cells and lesions were there previous to this scan? Is it possible the other treatments are minimizing their growth?

I am meeting with the cancer doc this afternoon. The lesions were not know to be there before this scan. When my surgery was done, no spots were seen on my liver.....

I am scheduled for my chemo port Oct 2nd and chemo will start 2 weeks after that.

Well all, rally the troops again.....I have a MRI tomorrow morning. The lesions on my liver were not seen with the CT scan but were seen with the PET scan.

Tomorrows test will show IF they are tumors or not. I hope and pray that nothing is seen tomorrow......
