What are all your thoughts on the "Great reset"?

Another conspiracy theory, they can't even get the Prime Minister's name right...I highly doubt the whole plan (if one exists at all) hinged on whether Mr Trump was in power or not....the world doesn't orbit him, just the sun...

I follow our conservative party here in Canada which is the equivalent to the republican party in the US but I am not a fan of Trump.

He is portraying himself as more and more dangerous attracting some very interesting followers who will go to almost any length to appease him. Scary at any level.....

Yes it’s scary, at the same time almost cartoonish supervillain-like. Lex Luthor with hair. Very very bad hair.
Reminds me of other rulers in world history who had people blindly follow and if need be to die or fight for him.

I see the subversive elements who openly support him and it's really scary...some of these elements which should never see the light of day or be allowed to exist.

I agree with this statement 100% I would have voted for trump if I was American for the sole reason of Kamala Harris though... she's very Trudeau like... Biden I feel would play by the book.

She has something to prove and will prove it whether people like it or not..

A record number of people didn't vote for Biden (or Harris), the voted to get rid of Trump, even some republican people see how dangerous he is.

I am a big fan of the US (my grand parents are from New York) but it hard to see someone like him do so much damage to it.

I'm not concerned with his political leanings. That divide is just a part of life. It's Trump's tendency to inspire, enjoy and incite hate that makes him, in my mind, easily the worst president the United States has ever had or more accurately in this case, endured. We've had two straight administrations that for very different reasons stirred racial tension. Obama was vocal about discrimination and some people thought his passion came mostly from him being black which incensed said people and especially racists. Trump, I believe to be a closet white supremacist.

There's no "closet" about that....as for his leanings, I don't think it would have mattered if either party picked him up as he was never a politician so never really aligned himself. I kind of knew there was something up when he wanted to fly in his own plane and not AF1 when he travelled and his wife was going to stay in their home vice the White House-the secret service cost was astronomical for her to do this.

I think Biden will only be in office for a while and then Harris will take over which would fit the agenda of having a female in the seat (they tried with Clinton). It could be a rough 4 yrs for them.

What makes you think he’s a closet white supremacist?

Great facts... Great job!!!
There's more than a few suspicious occurrences which point to the fact he supports and is supported by these types of subversive groups-all one has to do it Google the question and several instances pop up.

He was supported by a white supremist group but he didn't condemn their support but in turn accepted it. He basically told the "Proud Boys" to "stand by" which is not conducive to someone who is anti-white supremist

You talking about these racist?

The question:

"Are you willing, tonight, to condemn white supremacists and militia groups and to say that they need to stand down?" debate moderator Chris Wallace asked.

Trump's answer:

"Proud Boys, stand back and stand by! But I'll tell you what, somebody's got to do something about antifa and the left," Trump said, after additional prompting from former Vice President Joe Biden."

Interesting choice of words. Stand back instead of down and more blatantly stand by which means wait. I'm sure you or someone will refute this but his answer in no way condemned a group that is in no way ashamed of heir racist stance. I've always thought Trump to be racist, based on how he refers to people from other countries and the stances he takes in incidents involving racial tension. That quoted statement from the first debate reinforced my thoughts it all in two sentences.

Not racist maybe but an extremist group....ready to jump to the tune of Trump...

Osama Bin Laden had groups like this ready to jump to his tune as well.

I think if Saddam Hussein was still alive and in charge of Iraq, Trump and he would be fast friends..

Since my post got hijacked about Trump, I'll put in my 2 cents from and outsider view (might I add I am not an academic in U.S politics nor even my own Canadian) but I don't think Trump is directly Racist. I feel like Trump just needed to remember there is more than one voice in a nation. Not everyone is Right not, not everyone is left and not everyone cares about either. What a great leader needs to do is try to bring all sides together while I know this is impossible there has to be compromising, Trump has probably been the most social media driven president who will probably ever be! He should have toned down his presence and outlandish statements he might have made it another term. Side note: I feel media shouldn't be allowed to push one agenda or another. They should post non-biased reports.

Now Biden outright saying "you ain't black unless you vote for me" is pretty strong statement from a white career politician. Now let's look at Canada. People think we are extremely tolerant of Race, religion, sexual orientation blah blah blah. We probably one of the worst offenders of racisms and political racism today. Look how we have treated Native Americans even to this day the systemically abuse from law enforcement, segregation, poverty, lack of education. These people need more than just money thrown at them they need a lifting hand from all of us, to get them to where we are today.

...oh right, this was your thread on the great reset.......we get carried away sometimes around here.....

You are correct in your post.

Sadly

The once proud people of aboriginal decent have been abused and neglected for years and years-sadly by their own people as well...they are a society within a society. Many experiments were conducted at how to best help them. Canadian taxpayers spent billions upon billions on projects to better the lives of indigenous peoples. We sent contractors to build entire communities for them, sent in Drs, Dentists, teachers, civil engineers, IT techs, advisors on how to establish their own self governing bodies, etc, etc...

Some communities flourished while others fell apart, some of their own leaders absconded with millions of band dollars leaving the entire community in a state of disarray. We as a country have given them free secondary education, no tax payments, first right of refusal for government contracts (after the government sets them up in a business) and still they seem to not all flourish.

It has been many generations since the battle was fought between indigenous peoples and the government of Canada. Somehow the government of the past decided residential schools were the way to go as many non-indigenous people were already in them. Since that time, all surviving residential school people and their families have been economically compensated and a formal apology has been given to them. Trudeau even pardoned 5 historical chiefs who were responsible for the deaths of hundreds of white settlers...

I really don't know how much more as a nation we can do for indigenous people. We have millions of immigrants/refugees arriving each year who don't understand (or care) about why we are doing what we do for them as they lived in their own hell before coming here.

I'm Metis, I have a card, I don't even know where it is and have never even removed it from the letter it came in.
