What are all your thoughts on the "Great reset"?

...oh right, this was your thread on the great reset.......we get carried away sometimes around here.....

You are correct in your post.

Sadly

The once proud people of aboriginal decent have been abused and neglected for years and years-sadly by their own people as well...they are a society within a society. Many experiments were conducted at how to best help them. Canadian taxpayers spent billions upon billions on projects to better the lives of indigenous peoples. We sent contractors to build entire communities for them, sent in Drs, Dentists, teachers, civil engineers, IT techs, advisors on how to establish their own self governing bodies, etc, etc...

Some communities flourished while others fell apart, some of their own leaders absconded with millions of band dollars leaving the entire community in a state of disarray. We as a country have given them free secondary education, no tax payments, first right of refusal for government contracts (after the government sets them up in a business) and still they seem to not all flourish.

It has been many generations since the battle was fought between indigenous peoples and the government of Canada. Somehow the government of the past decided residential schools were the way to go as many non-indigenous people were already in them. Since that time, all surviving residential school people and their families have been economically compensated and a formal apology has been given to them. Trudeau even pardoned 5 historical chiefs who were responsible for the deaths of hundreds of white settlers...

I really don't know how much more as a nation we can do for indigenous people. We have millions of immigrants/refugees arriving each year who don't understand (or care) about why we are doing what we do for them as they lived in their own hell before coming here.

I'm Metis, I have a card, I don't even know where it is and have never even removed it from the letter it came in.
Yes sir! Chiefs get first dibs everyone else second!

Many indigenous people have been on government support so long they don't know any other way of life...it is generational now. It reminds me of the story of giving a kid a car, they drive the ever loving snot out of it as they didn't earn it just received it.

I've been to many reservations over the years and some are decent while others are just nasty. The ones that are decent have the indigenous people actually owning their property and it is deeded to them. They take care of it better as it is theirs and nobody is going to fix it for them.

The others who live in a government provided home on government provided land could care less about it. If it falls down-the government will build them another...and we do.

We are to akin, I would say we should go for a beer sometime but I don't plan on heading east for a very long time!

I find it funny these immigrants we are bringing in and sticking them on pretty much the same plan as Native Americans. I wonder how that will play out in the future? On another note I worked with two people from Mauritius and they had to jump through hoops and dish out tons of cash to get here. They work their butts off and are pretty choked we allow some immgrants in with no skills and who will no assimilate and just drain the system dry.

Same-I've been west and am not planning on a trip there any time soon..spent lots of time out there.

Some time back, I talked with a young soldier who was born in SriLanka and immigrated to Canada when he was very young.

He echoed what you are saying, his parents had to scrimp and save in order to meet the immigration demands and when they got here it was very difficult for them...lots of hard work later and they are making it.

He worked in an refugee intake center and said the refugees arrive, are handed a health card, immigration check, housed and provided with groceries...some will never leave the system nor does he think they have a real interest in integrating themselves into Canadian society.

Some of the same group came here and grabbed the bull by the horns and got to work carving a niche out for themselves in fine fashion...

Politicians have lost the plot at all levels of government these days. Trudeau trying to change the world while he should just be focussed on the country he was elected to manage. Here in the west, Victoria BC Mayor Lisa Helps is also trying to mould the world into her far-left socio-utopia despite only being a municipal leader... in a city of under 100,000 people. Meanwhile the city is crumbling under her neglect and pie-in-the-sky ideology... Do you want your local Mayor to sue "Big Oil" for environmental damages, or make sure the roads you drive on everyday are not full of potholes? Well Lisa Helps tried to sue Big Oil, and Victoria's roads are a mess...

It's madness.

No wonder the world is falling apart... too many leaders staring at the forest while ignoring the trees.

As for Globalization and The Great Reset, EFF off. I want to own my home. I want to own my cars. I want to own my motorcycles. I want to be a citizen of MY country. I'm not going to rent basic necessities. I'm not going to eat bugs. And if all of this is forced on me by some un-elected want-to-be Bond-villain on the other side of the world, I'm NOT going to happy about it!

Our country pays billions to China so they can upgrade their infra-structure in order to get their products to us...meanwhile over passes are falling on cars driving underneath and our own infra-structure is falling apart due to neglect from financial constraints...

I get a chuckle when I see a sign saying "bump ahead" the road should have this at it's beginning as the entire road is a big bump....sometimes it's murder to ride the bike on some of these roads as I have my suspension set up for cornering so it's a bit stiff...

I like that. Here in the midwest people say "can't see the forest for the trees" which doesn't make sense. Your version explains the meaning. I'm a word nerd.
By the way, I agree with your post and had to double check who wrote it lol.

We each have a choice to maintain original writings, such as this quote from the 1500's, learn their meaning and pass it on, or otherwise modernize such for the sake of convenience.

Start at 3:54.... listen to his words. Look at his face. Tell me that everything that has happened in 2020 wasn't planned as a means to bring forth "The Great Reset". It's utterly terrifying.
He mentioned more than once he can't verify the authenticity of the article he's reading. It assumes first of all that Covid 19 was planned intentionally. He's taken guidelines set forth to stem the spread of a virus such as wearing masks and social distancing and turned it into a science fiction novel where these guidelines grow to where martial law controls everything world wide.
Sorry it concerns you. I find philosophy and psychology fascinating. Our brains have a way of taking our fears and expanding on them. They are tricky bastards.
