To compare the Holocaust to mask wearing rules definitely should raise eyebrows but to those who believe mask wearing rules are just the tip of the iceberg, the comment is right on target. To people who believe the world today is or might be in the process of being dominated by globalists, it is reasonable for them to assume it would be similar to the Holocaust. Mind control, oppression and mass extermination would probably be involved.
I get worried when people start thinking along those lines...we are in a medical pandemic, not an ethnic cleansing situation.
Nothing can compare to the Holocaust where millions upon millions of people were exterminated in the most horrific fashion. I saw the results of ethnic cleansing first hand in Bosnia and it not a pretty sight by any stretch and nowhere even close to a comparison to what we are going through right now.
The "tin foil hat" people have their own major issues.

I think you're right about everything you said, Bumblebee. The Holocaust was by far the largest genocide in modern times and I'm sure in all of history. I believe that's why we automatically think of the Holocaust when we think about any kind of political mass killing.
The latest conspiracy theory is that Donald Trump is staging a military coup. For people who believe that, it's automatic for them to draw parallels to Hitler or some other oppressive leader and there you go with the Holocaust fear again. We have tinfoil hat wearers on both sides of the political spectrum.
I sometimes wonder "what if" the tinfoil hat people are correct? Will we ever know for certain the virus wasn't released intentionally? Were the virus and the election of Biden parts of a plan? ...or is the Trump military coup a part of the same plan?...or some other plan? We can only speculate what motives might be behind an intentional release of the virus and what the longterm ramifications will be. I'm hoping it was just an accident because if it was planned, you can bet it is just the tip of the iceberg we see right now. If all of these things run through your mind, the notion of the Holocaust isn't so far fetched.
I honestly can't see the release of the virus to be a planned thing as it affected the entire globe and has hurt the global economy almost to the point of no return (although it recovered after the depression so will again). It definitely wasn't put in place just to thwart or hinder an election within the US-that would be far fetched to say the least.
By keeping the essence of what the Holocaust represented, it will go far in having it never happening again. There will always be people who idolize leaders who display certain characteristics.

If the release of the virus was a part of a plan, that plan would have been based on projections of the virus's effect on the global economy, the US election, the vaccine, the death toll, the reactions of people and all sorts of things I never even thought of. The only way we will ever know if it was a plan is if that plan comes to fruition...maybe.
On the other hand, we have been worried about biological warfare. All it took was Coronavirus which is relatively nonlethal to have a huge impact on the whole world. It didn't even require a missile. Imagine if someone got their hands on 10 different viruses. All they would need to do is release one. They could threaten to release more whether they had them or not. How would the rest of the world deal with that? Go kill the person responsible and release all the other viruses they claim they have waiting to be released? That still might be preferable to a group of people who had made a far reaching plan which was far more complex than simple extortion.

In my opinion, this was not some sort of master plan to release a virus...was it made in a lab? Maybe and probably, was it meant to get out and infect the world? I don't think so. China is not going to cut it's own throat economically speaking.
Countries don't mess with bio agents as they have no control over them once they mutate, the possibility of them blowing up in the face of the originator is just too great to risk it. Similar to a nuclear conflict...nobody wins.
I think this virus was built in a lab, got released accidently and spread in a rate expected in a world with open borders and lots of people travelling..it was estimated being released sometime last summer and took months to be detected here in North America...
SARS, H1N1 and now this (a derivative H1N1) of all from the same province in China where there are many laboratories-not surprising viruses escape from there seeing as there are such low quality and safety assurances coming out of China.

Some of the world's leaders from poor countries might go for broke taking a risk using a virus that kills a low percentage of people. That would be exactly the kind of virus that would entail the least risk to them and still achieve the goal. If they could get their hands on it and if there was a big enough payback they could extort, someone might go for it. China probably wouldn't do it. They are already winning on the economic front as long as other countries are prosperous enough to keep buying their stuff.

They would rather use a chemical agent as the threat is faster and more intense...a bio agent would take months to cause any great effect (like we are seeing now). Most extremists want instant action...they don't think in the long term.
I disagree, 'typical' chemical weapons quickly kill and maim indiscriminately...
There are very dangerous bio agents out there but very few countries have developed them to any degree and they are very controlled...I've seen a few in action (under a very guarded environment of course).
Covid 19 is not a bio agent.
Surgeons wear masks to protect the patient, not themselves. It seems to pivot on how serious one thinks COVID 19 is. Saying that wearing a mask is an infringement and a stepping stone to further control us is silly to me but I respect that others feel differently.

It wouldn't be a good one if the goal was to kill a lot of people. It would be a great one if you wanted to keep most of them alive and under your control.
Under control is a relative term...all governments are having their hands full trying to curtail the virus from getting out of control with people not listening to them.
People will only take so much-we see this time and time again with protests regarding the pandemic.

Technically the economy hasn't recovered since 2007-2008 most countries are in debt most people are in debt. 2007-2008 was the beginning of the end coronavirus just accelerated our decline.
