Honestly, I think people will drive themselves nuts by worrying about all this...
Technology is accelerating at a crazy pace but there is little we as average citizens can do about it. It's the next few generations who will really see the biggest changes.
I remember seeing my first cell phone-it was in a bag the size of a brief case and there were very few places it could be used, my neighbor has a watch which is a cell phone...that would be useless to me as everytime it made a noise, I'd have to break out the magnifying glass to see what it said...

I remember humping around a "Sat Phone" in the day...and having to remember the alignment code for the antenna...that thing was a pain in the arse.

I highly doubt it. However, the next generation will start to be groomed to make changes go better...there are too many baby boomers around to facilitate a large change right now.
