Hi. I have carbon fiber bars painted to look like aluminum. The top and bottom trees are aluminum with a 1 inch positive offset. Bought from 1 Stop Speed made by Factory 5.
Way ahead of their time....I love those old Kats.

I have one the same model, how many kms on yours? Mine has 148,000kms and I’m going to fit an LSL bar conversion kit very soon so will start riding it a lot more, you said 1500km days on yours, that gives me confidence I’m doing the right thing.
I’m 65 this year and sitting up will really help my neck, wrists and back reducing the pain caused by the seating position with. Stock bars.
I put a Spiegler bar kit on my gen2 a dozen years ago.
You've probably heard me gripe about how I dislike the gen1 and gen2 seat to gas tank position, lol, (I love the gen3's)
but the dirtbike bars did make a big difference, and are a great mod.
So much so that is been my plan to put them on a 1k for years(like a friend has on his 09 gsxr1k).
Now that I have my '03 gsxr1k I'm bringing back to life, dirt bike bars will go on after I finish the rest.
Go for it, you won't regret it.

Yep 99 with all new oem fairings. A measly 38,000kms.
The BST’s will transform it into a comfortable mile muncher. First mod I do on any bike I get.

They are indeed Yoshimura 24L tanks.
