What Did You Do To Your Busa, Today?

Not just any motorcycle but a Gen 2 (WooHoo!)

SFO is an airport….looks like a lil rain too.

Today I added a 38800 mAa battery pack mounted on my Quad Lock to run my GoPro dash cam, I got tired of having to change out camera batteries and the battery pack should run the GoPro around 20+ hours. I also added 2” wide view stick on mirrors. I hope to try both out tomorrow.

Many things....

Dropped her back down to - 1 front, - 2 rear. Changed out the stock dogbones for Soupy's turnbuckle style.

Did you actually go minus 1 in the front and minus 2 in the back or was that a typo??

Your area, friend on a Goldwing coming along too. Leaving Lakeland between 9 and 10, probably good to eat lunch at that restaurant at the edge of Tavares, can’t remember the name but I believe it had the word biscuit in the name. Like to be back home between 4 and dark, my Busa has a curfew, she doesn’t like bugs! Lol. Give me a call or text if your timing works out. We’re not very familiar with your area so maybe you maybe you can show us around.

What I didn’t like was my GoPro battery going dead and not recording and me not knowing it was dead, I have a 128GB chip that should record 18 hours at 1080/30 fps and my battery pack should last for 21 - 24 hours. It advertised 38800 mHa, the two batteries inside state 3.7v with an output of 5v and figuring the pack will have a 10% lose due to circuitry deficiency I figure the more real mHa is around 33000 - 35000. I ran the setup on my desk for 8 hours and I still had 62% battery charge left. I can also charge my cell phone with it and run a GPS when I find the one I want. And recommendations on a GPS from the group?

Also if anyone is interested in using a battery pack the pack lays nicely between the windscreen and dash down in the pocket (gen3) but I decided to mount mine on my stem post Quadlock.

Im way behind on the GoPro thing and my last one was a hero2  ! As for GPS, I ran a Garmin made for trucks for a few months and vibration killed it. I then got a nice mount for my iPhone and just started playing with an app I found and also Waze but handlebars vibration killed the camera on my new iPhone. I went on eBay and bought an older galaxy and use that as my dedicated GPS with an app called Gaia (no need to have a cell plan for the phone) but can’t provide a good review just yet since I have not put enough miles on this setup to see how it works.

Isn’t that counterproductive? Rule of thumb is -1 front is same as +3 on the rear. If you went down on both they’ll pretty much cancel each other out, no? I ran +3 on the rear for a couple of years and that was fun, but didn’t like the higher RPM at highway speeds. I now run 19t front and 42t rear and she is not as aggressive at take off but feels nice and “relaxed” at highway speeds.

OK, I see the confusion. I meant lowering, not sprocket changes. As for sprockets I have stock front, 46 rear. As I understand it some of the rear gear changes are canceled out because the rear tire is 190/55 instead of the stock 190/50

I should have specified 1" instead of just saying 1.

Doing some “group therapy” at the gun range then I’ll give you a call

Will you actually watch hours and hours of riding that (you) did?

I cannot tell you how many of our rides ended up with something worth re-watching on the 360 cams that my friends run. There are 3 of them in our group so luckily I’m covered without ever running one. Lol.

On the ride home today on SR33 a mid size pickup was waiting to pull out from a store and he waited for my friend to pass and then he started to move forward and stopped again, I may have been in his passenger side A pillar post view. I ride with my bright on and I try to ride a lot of my ride with two fingers on the front brake but you can’t do that for the whole ride.
