I've ridden a couple more times and now I'm wondering how I ever lived without the extensions. It's so much less stressful riding knowing exactly what is behind you.

Put samurai Cush drives in...all I can say is wow! When I took off my wheel the hub fell out and 6 torn chunks of rubber fell out. Shifting into first is silky smooth now, and I thought a new tranny was in my future.

Yeah, I have a pretty good idea what the elbow pads in my leather jacket look like by now.

I was looking at some road 3's. Do you not like them?

I have been working on my Busa den. I finally got a work bench with over 10' x 24" work space. Have room for the bike lift now. I added a drill press and dremel work area with press. Also added a bigger sheet metal bending press (24" up from 18"). Also added a computer and network access. And the most important thing is a 32" flat panel TV with DVD drive.

Also decided to go with some cheap CF mirrors I found at Cycle gear. Turns out they look pretty good with the CF Yoshi's on the back.

What sort of pressure are you running? With those tires, anything above 36 has the potential for trouble in the twisties.

put a banjo bolt in my engine, ran her for a while to check for leaks, put new fairings on, put my mirrors on, and ran her for the first time since my crash last year....god good day for my busa

I was looking at some road 3's. Do you not like them?

On the street the Road 2's and three's are great tires. We have a group of 6 that run the 2's on our sport bikes and have no issues of slipping or ill handling. We push them pretty hard in the twisties as much as you can being on the street. I would not do a track day with them. I personally run a 3 up front and a 2 in back for Spring and Fall. Summer time I run just 2's. If you live in a wet climate, then I would recommend the 3's. If not, I would go with the 2's because they are a lot cheaper in price. We were running the Pirelli Stradas ( which were replaced by the Angels) and felt that Road 2's wore better. The Strada's would surprise you when you thought you had a good 600 miles left and you would be down to the cords in 300. When they went, they went fast. I hope this helps.
