It's always guys who have never had the features that are now so common who don't know how they rode without them before. Most new features make the ride better.Rode it. Used the cruise control for the first time. OMG, that is an awesome feature! Why didn't you all tell me about it before?
I've had cruise control alternatives on other bikes (Throttlemeister bar ends, cramp busters, etc.) and followed those wiring up their Busas with aftermarket cruise control kits (Rostra and others), but this was just cool to set and forget. It's always guys who have never had the features that are now so common who don't know how they rode without them before. I wouldn't buy a bike without cruise control, it's especially convenient when you're forced to ride on the highway to get to nice roads or if you're commuting or just to relax your throttle hand.Rode it. Perhaps if it were my primary mode of transportation I would agree, but it isn't. It was my first ride with cruise control after 30 years of riding, so I did enjoy it. I would ride the bike without it though.I wouldn't buy a bike without cruise control, it's especially convenient when you're forced to ride on the highway to get to nice roads or if you're commuting or just to relax your throttle hand.
Heated grips are also a great accessory, makes a big difference on chilly spring and fall rides but once you get into the low 40's or colder they don't do much good. The heated grips are a better accessory for me rarely even think about cruise control
To be honest where I know police is watching to fill their piggy bank I am using speed limiter as well. I drop the speed, eventually drop a gear and start accelerating until I hit the preset speed limit, then I repeat it until I leave the long speed limit zones. I use it to kill boredom and for the safety of my wallet.Rode it. Used the cruise control for the first time. OMG, that is an awesome feature! Why didn't you all tell me about it before?
First proper chain, sprocket, wheel clean and chain lubrication. As stealerships put their grease stuff all over the place, they didn't give a damn about golden accent on the chain or clean wheels or sprocket for that matter...

I've been looking at buying one for mine.Bolted on the RNG stator cover for the Gen 2, happy to find it works fine with the Gen 3 fairing. Too bad they don't make a clutch cover equivalent.

need to clean up the actual scratches though. Ended up dropping it twice through stupidity but it wasn't moving either time.
* one of those weird times where the camera picks up way more scratches than the eye does. In the flesh the R&G part is shiny and new and without blemish. Photos make it look like a used part. Not sure why that happens.
