(BlkDrgnZ28 @ Jun. 28 2007,04:08) the three power maps seem pretty cool though because i 'de rather keep it in a lower setting for cruising around town it just seems like it would help to keep your speed in check without checking out the speedo every few seconds
I was wondering about that. I'd like to know how much HP and torque will be available on the lowest setting.

I'm wondering if it was cause the engine to struggle a bit trying to move a 500lbs + bike.

I remember reading an article on the new 1000 and its three settings. It said each setting is almost a variant of it little brothers. The lowest is almost equal to the HP of the 600, the middle is that of the 750, and the top one is full blast. I doubt that's a problem on the 1000 since its only 25lbs heavier than the 600. But could you imagine a Busa with a 600 engine? rock.gif

And I hope the BRASS at Suzuki reads these boards...

Maybe they will get the picture.

Just made me appreciate Evelyn that much more. Maybe in a few years I will consider a new Busa as a stablemate, but I will never get rid of my '06.

Aw fer criss sake get one of these and learn to love torque for a few years..give them time and they will be back...!47 Ft lbs at 2500 rpm stock.Mine is 156 at 3000 rpms. As much a rush at 15 mph as the busa at 160 mph..Relax for a few years and enjoy torque..This thing will pull the ass hole out of a rhinoceros..rocketJune3010.jpg beerchug.gif

Move along people nothing to see here. Put the hp numbers over 200 already. Very let down on this one.

Yes I can considering a modern 600 puts out more HP than the average 4 cylinder CAR.
Or that way way way back a million years ago in the '90s a 500 lb bike with 110 HP was considered a lightweight state of the art powerhouse.

And just to stay on topic:

The '08 Busa looks like elephant afterbirth and I now think a little less of mine because it shares the same name with that POS. zzwhip.gif

H.org members,

Since I live in the Las Vegas area, I decided to visit my local Suzuki dealership to speak with the owners about the Suzuki Show.. He handed me a dealer's pamphlet of the 08 and I noticed a limited edition color!!.. It's going to be pearl white with a few touches of red and black. So.. Just a little more info on the upcoming 08s cool.gif

numbers or not this is not our beloved hayabusa, you can stroke it paint it and change the looks but a turd is still a turd lurk.gif

shame on suzuki ............ why cant you people listen to "THE PEOPLE" that actually ride what you sell and that have got your product out there for everyone to oooh and ahh over and the PEOPLE who actually have dedicated themselves to the cause (your cause) of promoting the best all around bike ever made (IMO and thousands other) we told you what WE wanted and the bad part is yea youll get ahold of some people that buy into this and i for one will respect those that do but we are people that have been here from day one and the past decade so why in the hell cant you listen to us and hear what we want instead of throwing this sh!t out there and calling it upgraded or WHATEVER we could have been happy with a few upgrades and still slapped kawi, honda and yamaha around for another decade..............................SH!T,SH!T,SH!T argue.gif

Aah I like the front, but couldn't live with the rear. Someone has to aftermarket something to remove (liposuction) the "saddlebags on the behind. A straight or less curved piece that will bolt right in. And the CANS MUST GO!!! I'm sure someone is working (or should be!) on slip ons to be available as soon as the bike hits the showrooms. I wouldn't ride it with those cans...straight from the dealer to the mechanic.."here, replace those ugly cans before I'm seen riding it, thanks"
As for the A B C switch., Why?, do we have NO throttle control? Do we not know our bikes and what they feel like in first gear at 35 mph? or 6th at 80?
Only my 2c.
