Each time I clean my bike, I have black marks all over the rear wheel from the chain slinging lube onto it. Anyone know of a product that will make this go away with ease? Yeah, my "search" button is broken. Thanks to the faithful.

MIneral Spirits, Honestly that's what i use works great...But i have a black LE, IE black rims. not sure if that would make a difference or not

I have black rims and I use Honda polish on the entire bike including the wheels

WD40 works great for the chain fling...spray some on a rag and wipe them down

I wash the Busa with HOT water using a micro-fiber cloth, no soap or detergent. HOT water lifts bugs off and dries fast. Once the body is clean, I wash the wheels the same way. I do wax the body every other wash, but only waxed the wheels once. Remove any glopped on chain wax as soon as its applied so I dont have the flinging mess.

WD-40 the wheel and then wash the wheel and chain with soapy water and sponge......

Comes out perfect everytime. Don't forget to re-lube.

Simple Green. Works wonders.

The foaming stuff in the spray can works the best.

I just use Mothers Detail spray in between waxing. I use Maxima Chain wax so the only thing that gets on my rim is dust.

wax on a rag that you don't plan on using on something else later on... and also, when they are clean, wax them so the grease comes off easier next time you go to clean them.

Simple Green for washing and everyday. McGuire for waxing. I have chrome wheels on my bikke.

1. Wipe down w/ a soapy wet rag to remove the everyday dirt.
2. Then follow up w/ WD-40 to remove the stubborn grease and stubborn spots.
3. Then come back over with a dry paper towel to wipe off excess WD-40 that can accumulate road dust.

NOTE: Use papertowels for this...disposable.

First I ONLY use chain wax

, and tell the dealer to ONLY USE WAX and as far a cleaning I ONLY use Cycle Care Formulas (cyclecare.com)

They have seperate sprays for:

Engine, Tire and Wheel Care
Shampoo
Windshield, Paint and Chrome Polish
Sray and Wipe Polish and Cleaner
Leather, Vinyl and Rubber Conditioner
Aluminum Polish
Helmet Liner Cleaner

They even make a small travel kit that I take on trips

I've used them for 10 years and have NEVER been disappointed with any of their products.

WD40 on a rag , chain wax, Honda polish for the rest of the bike. Almost never wash with water. My bike has 26K miles and looks new.

I apply 'Protect-All' straight to the effected areas of the wheels onto the "fling" and wipe my polished wheels in a straight line i.e., spoke to spoke and never swirling motions.

Follow with wax, wipe and polish.

Finish with foam window cleaner to remove any residual grime or soil.

Mirror like finish without any water used!

This product is far better than Honda polish, in my most humble and time educated opinion!

(BA BUSA @ Dec. 16 2006,07:51) WD40 works great for the chain fling...spray some on a rag and wipe them down

That is correct.

Liberal dose of WD-40 and clean shop rags.

Spin wheel and apply elbow grease.
