i was thinkin about why people bought the bike they bought?me i wanted power stability and the ability to stay together when i was done putting the power to it.and i havent enough money to make my own from scratch.plus the norton nemesis is becoming a pipe dream.

Me - It's got the power/weight ratio of an R1, FI (good for cold mornings), more comfy than an R1, brag factor, and lots of little toys (gas guage, clock, two trips, etc..)

So it doesn't corner as well as some bikes, that's OK, I don't corner as well as some riders.

same reason for me. i wanted a rocket not another drag bike. another thing tmh. i was looking at dukes for a little while but started thinking. once you start getting bikes like those and bimotas your prob. gonna be looking at trouble finding parts, service etc. i may be wrong but its not just some run of the mill jap bike where if you bust somethin you can get your parts fast.

looked at what it was going to take to build a bike that whould run witha Busa(around a 150-160 hosrsepower)and how much money it would cost. And realized it can be done but you cant do it and have the looks, and realibility, that the busa has.It still was going to cost way over half what the busa cost anyway I still wasn't going to be able to ride the damn thing anywhere and everywhere if I wanted to,I better hope i didn't get caught in traffic.
10800.00 -you CAN NOT BEAT THIS KIND OF PERFORMANCE FOR THAT KIND OF MONEY!!!!

Wanted to add to the stable~ 86 GSXR, 89 ZX10,90,91,92 94 ZX 11'S,TURBO 1428 BIG TIRE GS AND NOW 00 BUSA. No ZX 12 NO NEED FOR SECOND BEST!

This is my 7th Suzuki. My first one was a 750 water buffalo, how many of you remember those! All of the others have been of the GS model. They have all been do everything and go anywhere type of scooters. NEVER have anyone of them let me down. Then Suzuki drops the bomb on us with this monster motored, sweet talking thing. I bought mine because its fast, stable, and it is starting to grow on me with its looks. I can't even imagine how much a person would have to spend to have this much of a package in a 4 wheeled auto. 10 minutes after I bought mine I had 3 guys in a pickup almost run off the road looking at the "busa" as I was taking it home for the first time.

Had the 900F, 1100F, three CBR900RRs (94,95,98) F3, F4, two VMAXes, an R1 (99), a ZX6R (2000) .... 3 RZ350s, ....a few HDs....
And figured the Time was Now to Get the Experience of the BEAST!!!! Stable, Ferocious, Feared, .... everybody wants to challenge the BEAST! I love the Intimidating Looks & Near Pornographic Speed of the Stealthy Beast.....its Spews on the mere cubic Centimeters of the Past. Speed, Looks, Performance, ..... makes the R1 look Bulemic.

Other than performance, the main reason I'm a Suzuki guy?

The dealers. . .D & L Suzuki, Austin, TX and Mountain West Suzuki, Pocatello ID. You tend to hate bikes from dealers that suck.

I was 3 months into "my return to riding" after a 10 year lay off, when I bought mine.

I did not feel comfortable with my '79 GS1000E in the Atlanta HOV lanes, not to mention air-cooled to boot if ever in rush hour.

1999 was a perfect year to retire the blue/white Wes Cooley wannabe.

If only I could swap the rear-sets to this '99.

Quite the contrary, IN SPITE of looks and for combo of power, handling and at least some comfort compared to the extreme supersports.

Because she is the most beautiful thing I have ever laid eyes on.

She does absolutely everything I ask of her, is agile, nimble and fleet of wheel.

The way she purrs when I open her flaps, the way the juice squirts effortlessly into her openings, the way she shows her appreciation and lurches forward, tugging me along with her, gripping at her beautifully contoured mid section with my knees, she urges me to move down lower, closer to her rapidly pumping heart, as she gently squirms around on the ever present dampness, toying with the forces of friction.....

You want me to continue??

Think I better go for a spin!

Nutty and in love with my baby busa :)

I think NN is a porn writer!!!

I bought it mostly for comfort---I'm 6' and the gixxer was beating the crud outta me, so I went to the dealership and fell in love.

The 00 color schemes look great. I wanted one before the safety crats limited all bikes to 155mph. I'm 6'3 @ 230lbs - the bike has plenty of power to haul me as fast as I want to go. No offense, I could not come to terms with the ZX-12's look(mirrors) & performance(pre bike hype). Dealers in my area had quite a few Zx12's and were still asking 12k.
