Had an Shoei RF1000 save my head. I hit the ground hard enough to break a bone in my ear and internal bleeding in my head. If it wasnt for the helmet I wouldnt be typing this. I had an old aria. I like the way the shoei x11 fits. I have a few. Post my fav. OH, and I have a fast angel :thumbsup:

Cheap bastards! Shoei is winning coz they can't afford Arai. Don't lie!!! everyone wish they wear Arai lids,:rofl:
 
I think, of all my helmets, and it's not the most expensive, this one is my favorite.

It's at exactly the right stage of wear.

It's the RF-1000 model, from the Diabolic line.

I have one X-11, and while it's a more advanced piece of gear, it's too new to really enjoy. I have yet to take it into the canyons...

I bought a Scorpion EXO 1000 to replace my RF900 and rode home with the scorpion and put it on ebay. Then I ordered a RF 1000
 
1.) Shoei RF-1000 (1 Sever=current, Diabolics I=destroyed by crash, Nerve=destroyed in crash)
2.) KBC VR2 Gunslinger (destroyed from crash @ trackday) I hit my head hard on low side crash @ 70 mph. walked away from incident but had some headaches later that evening.
 
Helmet I wanna try next are Suomy. But I keep coming back to Shoei's after I crash damage a previous helmet.

Interesting revelation, Ryan.

I got to help a guy out at Fun Bike Center last night. He was looking at helmets while I was conducting other business there, and as I walked by him I just greeted him. So, he latched on to me like I worked there or something.

He had no clue, so I gave him ALL of mine. :laugh:

I felt, briefly, very important.

He ended up buying an Arai. :beerchug:
