I rode my new to me 2006 busa to my mechanic to swap out Shinkos for T30s and unlower this Busa to return it to a Hyabusa. Talked about 4-2-1 exhaust mod and Ecu flash. Then I took my zx10r on the twisties. Hyabusa more relaxed and upright with great grumble with dual gp exhausts. Zx10r whines and screams. Love a country where I can ride these 2 bikes every day. Weather in the 60s here in Tampa.

This is my new to me 2006 hayabusa. So excited to join the forum I am trying to learn everything about this iconic machine. After I get it back to stock height with the new tires I will see if it can take me on my 6 hour journey to my second home here in Florida. No way I could do that ride on my ZX10r. If this trip works, I am going to tour this country on this Beauty.

Very cool . . . don'tcha love these looooong summer evenings Nath?
Dark at 9.30pm . . any Americans slightly jealous? :poke: :moon:
:laugh::rolleyes::thumbsup:
Our summers are pretty nice too...starts getting dark at the height of summer around 2200 or so, even at 2300 there is a slight glow.

That is pretty country to ride in though.

Yep summers great, but the short days of winter.... not so much.
At least you have all that snow that lies around for months to reflect whatever little light there is and brighten things up a little lol.

I like winter...there's nothing better than out snowshoeing in the bush after a fresh fallen snow....especially if the air is cold and crisp.....sometimes I'll go for a while and rest on a rock or old tree stump to just sit and listen and reflect....it's pretty therapeutic.

....and with cold winters we don't get as many nasty critters that want to sting or bite us...I can live with that.

I know what you're saying there . . back in '92 we had a mother of a snow storm that covered almost all the South Island, referred to in NZ Folklore as . . . "the Big Snow of '92".
I was living in a small town here in Canterbury at 220 meters and I awoke that morning to a meter of snow on the ground, it was unreal.
The sky cleared after a day and the snow lay there for weeks, then another snow storm came in!
It was a special time for me, never experienced anything like it before . . or since.
I guess for you it's Ho-Humm, here we go again lol.

Well, not a meter but we get some crazy snow storms sometimes but are prepared for them thankfully...

I've been out on exercise with full arctic gear to have a 'chinook' roll in and all the snow melt and go away...dragging toboggans full of gear in the mud sucks...

I'm hearin' ya Bill . .
Ok, so a meter may have been a slight exaggeration, but it was very very deep for a Kiwi's short little legs lol

We've had almost a meter of snow in one day though....not pleasant..

In Newfoundland where my wife is from they had a storm that buried everything...even the RV in her parent's yard was buried...bull dozers were stalling out from pushing too much snow.
