Who Rode Today?

Rode to work yesterday to put some miles on the Stryker. What an amazing machine! I can never let that one go. It is smooth, fast, and handles great even with the 240 tire and rake. My coworker brought his son so I let him sit on the bike and make vroooooom noises.

A friend of mine had one in red...he loved it but always wanted a Harley.

So he went on a demo ride and rode all the Harleys, I saw him a couple weeks after and asked him where his new Harley was...he said if and when they can make a bike as good as his Stryker, he might consider one...

Head out tomorrow for a new years day ride with Tianne , and friends . Should be 38 F in the am warming up to 50's . Made some changes , and mounted RJ's top case onto the Tiger . Son said the small pelican case was not comfortable on his lower back . Now he's happy :)

Just about the same temps here and I’m going to try a lil ride as well. Days are short here with sundown before 5:00 pm! Damp shady corners are also a concern. Maybe I’ll just hit the flats for most of the ride. After dusting off an Audi and a 5 series BMW in my car today I’m feelin the need...for...speed!

That is awesome! I almost made the same mistake. I thought I would enjoy a full fairing bike but when I rode the street glide I realized that I wanted a motorcycle to feel like a motorcycle and not a small car. I thought it was a very boring ride. Maybe when I get older and lazier I’ll reconsider but for right now I want the wind in my face lol Compared go my old Fatboy Lo the Stryker is a heaps faster as well and feels very nimble. The only thing it doesn’t have is the sound of a HD.
These bikes are honestly a bargain. I have seen them on the used market for $3500-4000. I would snag one up for sure if the opportunity ever arose.

I think metric cruisers are grossly underrated and under appreciated due to everyone drinking the HD kool-aid. You are correct that you can find great deals out there as compared to the Harley’s where folks are asking mich higher prices. So much of Harley Davidson following is about the status.

217 miles today . Started day @ 42 degrees, and ended @ 48 . Sun was out most of the day but had a overcast time that made it feel much colder.
Heated gear is the best . Stefan enjoyed the ride . Especially a wee jump ;)
Paul came back to my place for some magazine's I had for him . We live about 10 miles apart.

I was gonna ask how Stefan likes the new bike compared to RJ? Does he give you any grief about getting rid of RJ like some people around here do:rolleyes:? Or is the newness, comfort, and ability for little jumps (i know that had to be cool for him:thumbsup:) enough to make him like this bike more?

He said it's not as fast . However he enjoys the extra leg rm and larger seat .
I enjoy it as it's a much better two up machine.

I took my DRZ out today, awoke to a glorious summers day, blue sky, light winds, 24degC, couldn’t ask for better!
I covered 200kms on the DRZ, had a great time, just out by myself but I was super careful in the off-road parts.
I’m getting the seat modified in a couple weeks to make it more user friendly, I’ll ride it a lot more when that’s done.
Took the Busa out this morning to town and back(80kms) to run an errand, then dirt bike in the arvo.
So cool..... what a life we have with our bikes!!
These pics are of Banks Peninsula... an old extinct volcano on the east coast of the South Island NZ.
Enjoy . . .

What a beautiful country side!.
Yup, that’s my backyard.... New Zealand.
One day, if they ever open the borders again, maybe you could come visit, my mate has started a fly fishing tour package with DR650 hire bikes he has just purchased... 4 of them, properly set up and brand new. If you dig fishing and dirt bikes that is, lol.
Sounds like paradise?
It is.
:rolleyes::thumbsup:

I watched "Wild New Zealand" today....it was real interesting...

I rode today from my town to the city for parts, then home again, 85kms.
I came across 2 seperate highway patrol cars coming toward me with radars going, and that was going into town, on the way home a cop was parked up with radar going waiting for his prey.
Picked them up from miles away with my BEL STI Magnum detector.
No taxes collected from me today thank you very much!
