Nice pics too.
Nice wee town by the looks, I just took a virtual tour around the place and you have some cool and beautiful scenery ! Whale watch, we have that here too.I actually live north of Victoria in pretty Sidney By The Sea, population approx. 12000. Still a megalopolis compared to where you are though, I guess!
Be careful with those . Budget friendly but known to be out of round , and one new set left my friend stranded in route to Alaska on his DL650 a few years ago with a separated tread . The rubber is also quiet slick when it gets wet .@c10 What are those new tires?
I have these, waiting for the tread on the current mounts to go away (V-Strom)View attachment 1630702
Ran some errands, picked up a temporary pelican knock off copy from Harbor freight to use on the Tiger rack till I decided on what case I actually want .
Some one came to me in the store and asked if it was my bike . Yes I said ,and they replied your alarm is going off.
I thought well I'm going to check out then see what's up . Everything was fine .
For a 1st time in my motorcycle life history I just said fck it inside .
Took a ride with my buddy on his 2004 Dyna Glide to Yucaipa Socal today... 52 degrees out the door with a high around 64. That makes for perfect conditions to gear up and be cozy in the saddle. It was about 82 miles round trip from my house. I was on my stock 2010 1400 Concours that does have a slip on. ( my commuter bike ). On the way there that magic moment appeared. Some guy in a Camaro SS wanted to give it a shot. I was behind him when the light turned green and he hit it fairly quickly based on what I was hearing from his exhaust. I didn't know he was so eager to have a contest of acceleration but I obliged him as best I could. I did close the gap a little but after we entered triple digits he started to creep away. I thought, ok... lets try that again... this time I will be ready with traction control off, in 1st gear and I am going to get the jump this time. Well, as you can imagine 3 car lengths came pretty quick but not a lot of room to play like the 1st time. I let him pass on my right and he gave me the thumbs up before turning off to a dealership. Not sure which year the SS was but after looking online it was either 640 or 650 hp form 2017 going forward... it did have the newer tail lights but I can't tell you which is which year. Growing up in the muscle car era has left its juvenile marks on my soul... I should have stopped and got his number so we can do it 2 out of 3 next time... but, he would not have known I am bringing the Busa until we met. In which case he would need at least another 100 hp to make it interesting
I love your Busa to! I also have an 05 in black and silver. This paint combo looks sharp and is a bit on the conservative side as compared to other stock paint schemes... I guess that is why I like it... goes with my gray beard and hair.Hell of a driving day for you! The concourse is such a beautiful bike! Would love to own one some day!
Would be funny rolling up in a Busa though lol

Concours 1400 are being given away these days. Look around and you will see them going relatively cheap. In my humble opinion its the most comfortable and fun to ride motorcycle I have ever owned. Believe it or not... it handles as nicely as anything I have ever ridden in the heavy weight class before. I had a Valkerie for a while but it would drag steel quite easily so I got off it before it got me in trouble. I have ridden Goldwings and other touring bikes and nothing has compared so far. I haven't ridden the fancy BMWs and other offerings out there...
I was also blessed with about 5K in upgrades like helibars, windshield, turn signals in mirrors, engine guards, LED twilight with sequential signals, Corbin seat and backrest... and the Snuggler... a little trunk that takes the place of the passenger seat. If you want it, you can have it... you just have to make a plan and go for it... and... keep the Busa at the same time.
