Good that you are getting out on that beastie....Very cool. I rode to work again yesterday, no rain chance on any weather map. Sure as I like pie it poured on me on the way home. Oh well, at least it cooled down the ride
Rode up to the local shop to have them order a new rear tire and they actually had one in stock. Rode back home to yank the wheel off and drove it back up there. Said it probably won't be ready until Wednesday though.
I am definitely all about getting the tools to do work myself, but this guy is broke and mounting/balancing was free with the tire purchase. Couldn't pass that up...Buy the tools, do it yourself, it's not hard.
We’ll have to go ride sometime now that I can stand being on a bike longer than 20 min. A bit cooler temps would be good too lolMay be the hottest I've ridden in 106 F had to ride to tax office to get the wife's new plate .
I like butterfly
When getting closer to home / lakes it cooled to 103 .

Bryan can introduce you and the Harley to a few fire roads...let's see how it handles in the dirt...LOL!We’ll have to go ride sometime now that I can stand being on a bike longer than 20 min. A bit cooler temps would be good too lol
I'm thinking about this as I'm never satisfied with the shops. What balancer would you recommend?Buy the tools, do it yourself, it's not hard.
Whenever I tell people I live in Florida, they always remind me how lucky I’m to be able to ride all year. My reply is always the same: “summer is the slow season for me due to rain and heat”. I feel like Florida only has two seasons anyways…. One is summer and the other is HELL!Yeah, I’m trying to plan a trip and everywhere I want to go is HOT. Even in a mesh jacket being out under the sun for hours at a time is…undesirable.
I don’t think scratches would look good on all those chrome parts and fancy paint job.Bryan can introduce you and the Harley to a few fire roads...let's see how it handles in the dirt...LOL!
I never understood why they can’t take 10mins to stop what they are doing and swap the tire, instead of making you take another trip to pick up in a few days. My No-Mar changer wasn’t cheap but that things has paid for itself countless times. Maybe you need to add that too to your “once I build funds back up” list. Honestly you don't want the person doing your tire to be in a rush and this time of year they are all so busy that stopping what they're doing to do a tire just pi$$es is off lol. @Jakegsxr11 Rabaconda recently released their street bike tire machine and it looks really nice. I was looking at getting one of them for my shop to replace the harbor freight one I was using that worked but was a pain even with the no mar tire bar but I got lucky and the guy we bought our dyno from decided to upgrade his tire machine as well and so we got his actual pro motorcyle machine for a steal. Also the no mar machine mabupa mentioned is a real nice setup as well.I never understood why they can’t take 10mins to stop what they are doing and swap the tire, instead of making you take another trip to pick up in a few days.
