Forgot to post but went on a ride Monday with 30% chance rain thinking that the storm had passed. Five minutes into the ride and it starts pouring. Rain was welcomed because it was the first time that i rode with the Road 6's. I have to say that the tires performed well. Grip felt good on the wet roads. I don't think that ill purposely ride in the rain but at least i know that the tires can handle the wet roads well.

I was about to go for a ride after I did a few things in the yard, after 15 minutes out there the humidity is so high, sweat was pouring off me,

I could only imagine being in full gear....so that being said, the bike is staying right where it is for now...

It's here too.
Virginia is always hot and humid in the summers, but it seems worse lately.
This past week is the first time in a couple months it's gotten below 90°f during the day.
But with high humidity and 80's, it's still too warm.
It was actually not too bad yesterday afternoon when I was push mowing...then the approaching thunderstorm pushed a bunch of heat and more humidity in about 30 minutes before it poured, lol.
I'm hoping for a slight cool down in the next few weeks, in time for finishing up work on my Concours.
I feel for you up there, you get more extreme temperature changes than we do, and I know that really hurts good and enjoyable riding time.

It substantiates my lack of desire to sink a bunch of money into a motorcycle which has a very short riding season here....I have until the end of Oct (if we are very lucky) and that's it...I've seen snow by mid Oct...it doesn't stay long but if it is cold enough to snow, it is cold enough to leave the bike in the garage...

Then we toss the coin for the snowmobile guys....their season is even shorter and I know a few people who have almost $50k tied up in snowmobiles that had less than 200kms put on them last season...

What about riding early in the morning or evening to escape the temperature
I will probably do that...

......as long as it doesn't sound like I'm whining but those are the two times that;

a) all the critters are out and about (lots of deer around here)
b) all the idiots are out driving around..in the morning they are busy eating breakfast while driving and not yet awake.
c) (b) attracts the cops...

At least in the middle of the day I usually have most of the roads I travel to myself and have got kind of used to that...

Similiar here, I'm only out really early if it's an all day ride, otherwise it's after rush hour(which is mild here).
I enjoy night rides, and am used to all the critters, as that's just the way it always has been.
But, mid day, yes, best time to ride, almost no traffic on the back roads or parkway.
I have crept around at 25mph side saddle countless times, rip it for a few minutes, and back into creep mode.

Come to think of it, I've never rode this bike in the dark....

I go through this thought process constantly.

Given how wet these past several years have been, this year I loosened up on my "no chance of rain" rule. I dealt with bouts of drizzle just last weekend but I am still alive HA HA. But dusk, dawn, and dark are risky times for all of those reasons. I do not need risk as part of this hobby.

There is nothing wrong with these constraints.
