Who Rode Today?

I had a 40 miler today in 99 HOT damn degrees and it wasn’t nice. Rode the Kawasaki home from the shop on the back roads after a brake fluid and coolant change, fork seals and oil and a valve check @ 19,200 miles. All were in spec but it’s sure expensive to find out. All you do it yourselfers needn’t bother telling me how much I could’ve saved by doing it myself.

I put 25 miles on my Concours last night.
Everything is working as it should be now.
Still no oil or coolant leaks, lol, and the overflow tank is still full.
I can put the fairings on now(yay), cut the windshield, and call it good...and brake pads.
Then it's done...for now.

We will expect a Concours wheelie video shortly.....

I've seen one in a test video, and it no doubt has the power, especially after the mods.
My friend said it power wheelied 2nd.
I've been running through my head how hard on the differential it would be, vs sprocket teeth...which I've been known to break, ham-fisting big bikes up in the air, lol

I suppose getting that big heavy beast up on it's hind legs will be hard on the final drive....

I was out for a walk early this morning and it looked like it might be a decent morning to get out on the bike...by the time I got home it was drizzling out and continued that all day...

It is that time of year where the weather will really become hit and miss for riding.....then one day it will be frosty and cold and that will be it for the season...

A break in the clouds gave me the opportunity to get out and burn a little fossil fuel....it wasn't real warm out and any chinks in my suit were immediately felt...add to this some strong wind gusts and frankly it was good to get back home...

Now on to the other yellow beast to cut grass.....all that rain has caused it to literally pop up...

took my bike to get mapped re-tweaked and a new rear tyre

we took a load of fueling out at 3500 rpm on partial throttle as exhaust was a little sooty and the dyno showed this.

tweaked top end power to 206 hp and torque to 118 lbft

will be getting the cams turned inwards for more mid - range over the winter

nice ride back 50 miles on a new 190/55 rear tyre :D

Got my quick disconnect in last night. Finished install during lunch. Rain is coming so no chance to ride after work. The mount is tight, I like that so it takes a little bit of finess but the more I get to mess with it the easier it will be. No more taking the bike apart to remove the trunk
