Who Rode Today?

Who rode? Not this owner.

The owner says there are birds that often sit on it...

I have one as well thinking it would keep the grackles out of my pond....didn't work...

Birds fundamentally feel threatened by the appearance of motion and sometimes that is even linked to particular shapes of natural predators like raptors. I am guessing by its size that the fox does not move? Also birds are indifferent to man-made objects, and somehow they always figure it out. Driving by in a car may not even phase a flock. Crack the door open and they scatter. They have genius instinct.

At least those grackles are annihilating many insects from the pond.

The fox rocks and the tail moves in the wind....but they get used to it quickly...

The grackles crop their nest crap in the pond during the nesting season..

I got in a 140 miler today on the Busa. Cleaned and lubed the chain and cleaned the wheels after. Talked with a guy on an 04 Aprilia 1000 that looked new. Twin motor, twin rads, each with its own fan, lots of carbon fiber and a nice aftermarket upswept exhaust. His wife was on a Ducati Monster, a 797 I think. Only took one pic. Where to go tomorrow?

Caught up with some friends. A last ride for my best riding buddy. Having a knee op Wednesday then returning home to Canada after many years here. Great day, lots laughs and a great ride together as a memory.
As the weather is picking up, many bikes out and blowing out the winter cobwebs.

Not my bike however, I rode my yellow garden tractor to cut grass at the home of the senior lady we help out...these trees are there....

Imagine a bike painted the crimson color of these leaves..soon all the trees will change color before the leaves fall off...creating more work for me of course..

Just wait till they all fall off... then one cleanup and you are done... well... maybe two cleanups as neighboring tree leaves get blown to your property.

When I was a kid we raked a lot of leaves and had cement block burn pits in the back yard with 1/4 screens to hold back burning leaves from floating up and out of the burn pit and going everywhere in the wind.

I have a sweeper I tow with my tractor....we then bag them for curbside pick up.

Last year there were 50 bags...

When your 9 or 10 years old and using a rake it gets old fast. Lay out a piece of canvas about 10' x 10' and place them there and then drag them to the backyard burn pit. We had a push sweeper to... no power except the muscle it took to push it.
