Happy belated birthday....So it was birthday on the weekend and I may have bought myself a present.... had 7kms on it when I got it on Sunday, 47 by the end of the day yesterday... added another 300kms today. This thing is just as good as all of the reviews say that it is.

I've been wanting to ride one, as it looks comfortable, especially 2up.

I couldn't say as I've never ridden a K5/6 GSXR1000. Feels pretty much like my (ex)2020 Katana though, but much better fuelling and the excellent quick-shifter.
I'm also still being forced to keep it below 5500rpm for the break-in... that's tough.
Comfort is really good though, I was well over three hours in the saddle before I started feeling it... of course I'm pretty out of shape for long rides these days having not done an all-day jaunt in a while. A long while.
The GT isn't a pretty thing but she sure has a winning personality. I'm already smitten.

Thanks 'Bee! Hope no one hates me for using my '08 'Busa (and '20 Katana) as trade-ins against the GT.
I still have my '05 Bus though so they can't boot me from the forum!

picked up my bike from dealer today at 3:40 39 degrees and half way home rain and ice pellet’s
I did not care still had a great ride ,will start on new suspension setup next week.

Rode around town for just a bit to get the oil warm before I changed it. Not far and not fast but still my favorite bike… I don’t say that too loud tho as I’m taking the Harley to the dragon next month. Lol.

I saw a forecast for a great day today and thought about taking the day off. I began to check on things at work. The Internet cutout twice early on. Then I saw items at work that I did not want to deal with. Someone wanted me off for the day and was sending me hints at a quick rate. So I took a vacation day and got in my first ride of the year. The bike started right up after its long slumber. My technique was was fine, particularly for the first day of riding. I was a little surprised as I expect somewhat of a shock. (Whoa! Whoa! How does this think work?) Perhaps because I have been somewhat physically active lately, such helps a great deal.
It was around 60°F when I left and warmed up a bit from there. It is just a perfect day.

I had the day off, called a local car shop(I've taken 4 bikes there so far) for a required anual state inspection sticker, $16, and they look at tires, brakes, lights and horn, easy, in and out...except the horn wouldn't work...lmao.
So, the 2018 Gsxr1000R failed, lol
If I fix it within 2 weeks, it's only $1, any longer and it's $16 again, so no big deal.
It has a Rejection sticker on it now, which makes it legal to ride for those 2 weeks.
But, it rained the whole 50°F 20 mile round trip, which I made a 30 mile round trip, so I could at least feel like I rode it somewhere else.
Oh, and the new Rizoma mirrors are awful, can't see a thing in them.
Suprising, but oh well.

Couple of days ago. Went to look at another Busa for sale. Too nice a day to go in the Ute or Car, so used it as an excuse to have a play.

Rode to a friends today to work on the tractors (Harley Davidsons) but got lots done between the two of us. 2 - 3 hole services and finished off a tour pack light install. Not far but at least I was on
If I knew what was wrong with it, it would be working, lmao
It just decided not to work, and at the worst time, lol
It is plugged in, but I havn't had a chance to check anything yet.
