Who Rode Today?

Rode the Yamaha Stryker to the gym. Definitely makes the Indian look very small! I was surprised, they looked pretty badass online. Also loving the fat 240 rear I threw on the Stryker!

Took another 200 miler today. The pics don’t do what I saw justice. From the foothills with ‘round’ trees to almost 7,000’ and the tall evergreens. Nice peaceful stop at a bridge over the Merced River. It’s gonna be winter time soon....:confused:View attachment 1604608

There are a lot of people on here who are experts at spending money on a Hayabusa, but you my friend rule on how to enjoy the bike!

Thanks man! For far too long I was relegated to riding on the weekends or on vacation. My work almost always required that I live in a highly populated area as well so getting out on the bike was a very real stress reliever. Now, not so much, especially since I moved to the country. I can’t recall the last time I rode on a freeway!

I took a ride to my Suzuki dealer yesterday.

I had a truck start making a left in front of me, nearly hit a squirrel, got stuck in construction traffic and they had muddy water going across the road. I was frying in the heat.

Not my most fun ride of late.

Waitaki, Otematata its their first rally about 7 or 800 here nice spot, a tad cold at 1deg c, yep camping.
Oh yeah, right between Kurow and Omarama, I’ve never been on that road but always used to stay at Kurow on the Friday night of the Brass rally, and always went thru Omarama on the way to the Queenstown rally.
Awesome part of the country, but at this time of the year? Brrrrrrrr... frosty Jack is lurking around!
Forecast is good today, sun and 14 degC
Have a good trip home mate

Out for a ride with my riding buddy. It is a beautiful day out there and every bug in the whole countryside knows it...I got a big splat right in the center of my visor...made the rest of the ride suck a little....

A bottle of water and a small towel are pretty easy to carry with you. So is a camera. :D

I have no great things to take pictures of unlike yourself....farm fields and country roads pale in comparison to your adventures...

I had visor cleaner with me but each time we stopped and I cleaned the visor, within 2 minutes of riding, I had bug splatter again...

I’m going to the Beach Hop today!
Weather is fine and sunny, 15degC
Gonna take my GoPro on the bike and get some footage of the cars etc.
there’ll be some cool vehicles there, will post up pics and YouTube links soon!

Went to the Beach Hop . . . awesome day, covered 456km return, encountered 4 cops, one had a customer bailed up already, dodged that bullet, another was parked with radar permanently on and scanning all traffic, luckily an oncoming truck flashed his lights at me to warn of the cop ahead, slowed down so also dodged that bullet. Another cop was in a line of traffic ahead of me and zapping every oncoming vehicle with his 'instant on' radar. He eventually pulled over and parked so I was back to business as soon as.
Another cop was coming towards me but I picked him up on my radar detectore from about 3kms away, he was pulsing oncoming cars and bikes, picked him up, slowed down, all good!
There was a lot of empty stretches of road, no traffic oncoming for ages, so the Busa stretched her legs and ran like a cut cat. Had a couple of car guys in their 'fast' V8 classic American cars try to take us on . . laughable.
Phew!! It's like a game of cat and mouse out there.
Here's a few pics of the day . . .

Niiiiice! I love hot rods and customs. That orange 64 Ford is sweet. Always liked that body style. Funny, over here four door 50s and 60s and even later models just don’t get saved, fixed up and shown like two doors. And they certainly don’t bring the prices the two doors bring either. I too prefer the two doors but lots of four door versions are just as nice. I’m taking the Busa for a ride later today myself.

I was just thinking that about the 4 door sedans....over here people don't even give them a second glance...

Great pictures and it looked like a good day for it-the cops were well aware of this fact too it seems...
