I went for another blast today . . and I was the one 'blasted', wind blasted!
We went to Methven, a small town at the foot of the mountains, and there was a hot rod/classic car show on there . .
On the way there the winds were gusting strong, side winds of around 50mph, and head winds also. It was tough holding a straight line.
Sunny and warm otherwise.
Took a few pics of some lovely old Nortons and an Indian . .
Below, Ray Coleman's super charged custom 900cc Norton Commando,
Early GSXR front end, 17" 3 spoke Suzuki wheels, custom cut 'wave' rotors (he cut them by hand), I'm unsure what the blower is from, forgot to ask.
He says it's an animal to ride and idles at 2500rpm, virtually unrideable when you open the throttle, he seldom rides it but takes it to shows and always wins prizes!
Below is a Commando owned by the 2nd owner for 42 years.
Fully restored, and has an aftermarket starter motor fitted to it.
Below is Paddy Snowden's custom built Indian Flat Tracker.
He bought it on Ebay from the US, Iowa reg plate/tag fitted, the chassis is beautifully crafted by the builder he bought it from, 1200cc engine.
Very cool machine.
