I think he was just trying to lower the rear pegs to hop on for a ride. How would a turkey attack anyway, by smacking you with his wings?

They can break arms with their wings much like a goose can too...

They reintroduced the wild turkeys without any real thought as to how they were going to control them. The darned things are everywhere, and the government has jacked up the price of a tag to hunt them. It's cheaper to go get a turkey at the store.

Now there is talk of turkeys being declared "nuisance birds."

Wild Turkeys were crafty devils. It was a bit of a feat to get one in a hunt. We all know the Butterballs which are bread so dumb they can actually drown by looking up in a rain storm (old myth, not sure if it's true). Anyway my Alma Mata, Virginia Tech are names after the wild Turkey and to this day are called the Hokies.

Yes, we get all the jokes. "So you guys are the Turkeys?" Followed by a giggle. Great school, lousy name....

My brother hunts them and says they have really keen eyesight and can tell if something is out of place...they are a hard kill sometimes.

Because the price of a tag is so high, many hunters don't bother which has led to flocks of up to 60 birds around here. They'll come into a yard and clear out a garden in minutes.

After 8 and a bit weeks of lockdown, we were given the OK to start to move around a little.. Still no bars or resteraunts open, but small cafes for takeaway only are OK.
Soo off we went... Best time and head clear ever.. it's amazing how quick ride fitness goes..
540 k's on Saturday ad 320 on Monday.

I have ridden in that area......but my usual ride is to the north of OKC.
