The K1300 was a good bike. I think BMW made a mistake thinking the K1600 GT could replace it. The RS 1250 is close but the 160 hp 4 is a better speed engine IMHO.

Yes, the k1300 power plant is a nice piece of engineering.
The chassis is also extremely stable at any speed... I followed him thru a 180kmh S bend, it was absolutely planted with no deviation from the line he was holding,
No doubt he’s going to get a shock when it comes to servicing at the BMW franchise lol.

I rode to my dealer and sat on a couple bikes. I wouldn't mind the MT10 as a second bike. We may cut down to one car so I would have room. Great weather for a ride. I love the Busa. Masks are mandatory now in Louisville so the dealer gave me one.

The mt10s are a decent bike fir what they are or at least the few ive rode with were. I have to say on one of those a transformers sticker it's definitely mandatory with that front cowl tho ;)

I read some good reviews. They sell a taller windshield for them. They also sell bags for them. 100 + lbs lighter than the Busa.

V-Strom is a great second bike. They get great reviews and I have ridden one for a half day and came away smiling. Plus you get some off road capability so it opens some touring the Busa is not suited to. Take care of them and they will last for ever.

They have a lot of accessories too. Good visibility because they are so tall.

I think they hold their value too. But most put 100+ K miles on them because people really love this bike.
I have a buddy who is a big man and had a 650 Strom, he has a couple hundred thousand KMs on it and he rides it hard. It has been to the Tail of the Dragon at least 4 times.

It has never let him down...he rides a 1250 RT now though.

They had a used 650 Strom there for 4500 with 15k on it. I just think I would want more power. It is a big bike but my legs are still bent when I am flat footed on both sides.
