I never will use a Hose & water on any Bike I own....
I use Windex & Wax.........WD40 on a few things once in a while.

I see a lot of Harley and Goldwing riders using Water out of a Hose or ...god forbid.. Powerwashing.

All that water finds its way into nooks and rusts or dulls finish on chrome & aluminum parts.

And CHAINS hate water...as well as Electrical Connectors
and wires and Wheel Bearings and Fuse Blocks and Gauges and Switches and key holes and Cables!

(thepushercg @ Jun. 14 2007,19:12) i am guilty as charged

Air Compressor on Dusty bike.............also good for the amateurs who use hose and water.....

I would not want a used bike from a person who washed their bike like a car..................................I have seen to many fuel injection connectors that were corroded on newer bikes that had owners that were using water to wash their bike.

Sorry I gotta laugh.

Rains everday in florida, if you live here, either your bike is a garage queen and you never ride...or it gets wet. Rained on me today as a matter of fact...I ride daily.

Oh wait...Celine does look dull

NOT!

IMHO water will not hurt a bike (as long as the bike is properly maintained), it's part of life.

I also think that taking a rag and rubbing the dirt around probably causes more paint damage in the area of scratches than just washing the thing with a quality soap (Zanio rules

)

Same here in Southeast TN...If you ride you get wet.

Here is what it looks like around here between four and eight PM from June through September.

I guess I could put my bikes up for the summer

I have beautiful Expensive Bath Towels that I use and Windex Then about 12 diferent kinds of wax I experiment with.....My bike dont get dirty enough to need running water.....

I ride every day It dont Rain... But I am happy to admit I am a Fair Weather Rider. .. and I still manage to put about 8000 miles on a year.....Sometimes as Low as 5000 a year..........

Now a Question for you about your HMF Dual System..........How is the Torque curve?..about as good as stock and better than a 4into1 system?

Your Bike Looks Good Bro!

Even old blue sees the water right out of the hose! Blow dry with air compressor and then the old honda polish... hate that stuff.... not!

Same here.
The bikes are made to riden in the rain.
I wouldn't worry about it.
I'm not saying take the hose and drench your electronics.

Guilty - I'll break out the soap and water. Dry her up with a good towel and air compressor. Then wax her up.

Run the hose on it all the time. You don't have to direct the water at the motor or gauge cluster to get the bike clean

+1 - it is meant to be ridden in the rain.

garage queens and holiday cruisers need not apply

My seat of the pants dynometer says it's much better than stock. Torque curve is all busa, it's phenominal. I think it's much quicker and crisper with the hmfs. Pulled the front wheel off the ground in 2nd by just cranking on it hard...at about 4-5000 rpms.

They are a pita though, I wrapped mine and had to tweek it to keep from melting plastic. Still, I think HMFs really kick arse. Best lookin' exhaust for a busa (in my not so humbe opinion, works for me

). Running a PC III, small airbox mod, and BMC race filter.

I never rode a 4 into 1 so I can't comment on that. I was actually thinking hard on the brock/hindle but the Busa has so much power anyway it came down to looks for me.

You answered my next Questions also.......
Cool.

What is your weight?...........Second gear Wheelies on stock Busa for me was just twist the wrist....4INTO1 System Not so............I am 300 LB

Nothing to be guilty of, i use the hose and a bucket to wash my bike.  Never pressure wash, just garden hose.  To me, that's the only way to really clean your bike. Shammy it off and throw some wax on it.   I usually use the Honda polish, but once a month or so it needs the hose.

i just wait for a good thunderstorm to come through and put it out in the rain that washes it and usually the sun comes right out and drys it for me so that way i dont have to use that harmful water hose

just kidding i use the hose and bucket all the time

I ride in the rain and hose her off from time to time. I do use the leaf blower to get all the standing water off. been doing it for years. no probs yet
